I have watched enough of the Jeremy Kyle show to settle any intra-family disputes, although if you require a lie detector or paternity test it will have to be carried out psychically.

Basically she's not happy with my life choices. As in, she's from a very religious family and thinks the LGBT community is no good and everybody should die if they like that and all the nasty stuff. So she got on me when I came home from my Girlfriend's house (she's staying a few days) and I told her off and she got in my face. So I hit her and after that I don't remember. I know that I broke a few ribs, but otherwise I don't remember anything.

If she hates you because of something out of your control.

Then she isn't family.

She's not, she's a sister-in-law.

Whether people are blood related or not doesn't determine family for me.
