Well the first one was laughable. I got half way through the second one before I deleted it. So I can't judge that in comparison to the first. Captain America himself is the problem. He's just not interesting.
The first movie felt like Kickass, except not funny.

I see. For me it was good though, perhaps the nerd in me is just excited for the avengers.

The themes in the movie are just too basic for me to enjoy.

Wasn't too keen on Birdman. It was going for the whole artsy/alternative appeal. But really it was just 2 hours of boring scenes. The best thing about that movie was Edward Norton. The same deal with Boyhood. 2.5 hours of watching someone go through day to day life. No plot, just scene after scene of shit no one really cares about. The film's whole gimmick was the decade+ filming. Some movies I enjoy: The Grey, Interstellar, Inception, The Babadook, Her, Lucy, I Origins, Man of Tai Chi, The Matrix. Movies that are both fun, thought provoking and actually have a plot. Unlike the recent wave of pretentious artistic shit.

Yeah, the Vision finally had his reveal. After all them foreshadowed images of him in posters we finally get a view of him :D

Oh alright, I can actually see where you're coming from there, I honestly thought you were going to go full indie, but it just seems like superhero movies aren't your thing. Thats fine though, they're mostly just made (for the money, but besides that) to fuel fanboy comic nerd wet dreams. And I'm a fanboy, so I don't complain all that much. I haven't seen The Babadook, what makes it worth watching, it seems like your average horror movie experience
edit: Error I hadn't even looked at any posters, I legit didn't know he was going to be in the movie until I saw him in the trailer, man I can't wait
