Heh, I'm too Canadian for that. When I told the guy I knew he was drunk as a skunk, he looked super guilty and tried to deny it for a bit before pleading that I don't tell the boss man.
Being unemployed sucks balls and he has a rent to pay. I'm not screwing somebody's life over because they're inconveniencing me. I'll wait and see if he actually stops showing up to work drunk first :p
