This is just general. I see them transforming society as a whole, and I miss the kind of...importance and social prominence being quick witted and generally likable had, as opposed to just reciprocating a cheap laugh.

Memes can easily be funny, but memes themselves are nothing but the most dumbed down version of social human interaction possible. It's the person and their personality that can make them funny.
