Does anyone here play Terraria?

I just started a few days ago. I have no idea what I'm doing.

Yu-gi-oh card battles are still alive and well here, and have pretty good prizes. Old friends of mine used to duel at big expos for cash prizes. I had a bunch of cards all given to me by everyone growing up who got doubles and what not, but I never understood how to play. At all. I really enjoyed the character designs though and collected a few just for the artwork.

Also for anyone still aware of the two and a half year uphill battle I made it my christmas gift to leave my fiance and do acid with a bunch of hippies. Experimenting with drugs, people, lifestyles and new types of artwork. And eating more fruit. Happy new years, friends.

Yeah that's pretty much how I've done Yugioh. I understood the basic rules, but I found collecting cards more entertaining.

Don't worry Fuckstick, I'll talk about acid with you.

Unlike all these fuckin' squares man.

Also: Holy butt balls, wwe 2k15 is actually pretty cool.

I made a custom wrestler, which was originally supposed to be generic. But ended up being a black man with an afro and a fu Manchu mustache with stacy tattoed across his chest.

I named him "Bruce Lee Roy" and got him set up to do kung fu/brawling shit.

Finisher moves: Super kick, shining wizard.

Ask the Guide NPC, dig shinies, kill stuff and then search the wiki for more info.
Though I loved the sense of discovery when I first played and haven't seen the wiki whole.

I've done most of those things already. I want to at least have 1 more npc in my house before I start scanning the wiki for stuff.

Who immediately starts a game with a wiki or walk through? Kind of kills the sense of surprise for me.

You... are correct. Though I was kind of hyped for the game and I used to have the tendency to indulge in spoilers. That's why I read a lot from the wiki. However since the game is almost huge in content I never really got read it all. That's why my first playthrough was exciting. Also I now try not to spoil with themes or wikis that much. Or with anything at all.

Edit: Also xyskal, don't go to the wiki just yet. You can build houses for npc by building enclosed rooms with a chair, table, door and light source. Everything else can be done by referring to the guide. He gives crafting recipes and other advice. The gameplay is much more surprising and challenging that way.

Where is Nish when I need him? I want to know how this image strikes him, personally I see it as one of the most pretentious things circulating the net right now.

It's irony of the finest level, to use an image to demonstrate the depth of a book, something that typically doesn't have many illustrations.
Almost as if they're acknowledging imagery can express things more clearly and concisely than words can some times.

So here's a little edit, honesty edition.
My edit (Click to Show)

I've read much more than the average bear and just because I don't like books as a primary means of entertainment doesn't mean I "lack imagination" either. The way every fucking book reader ever describes it, when I confront them with the fact that books made in the classical format lack illustration or music and can't appeal to me based on these senses. LOL YOU JUST HAVE TO USE YOUR IMAGINATION!! I have plenty of imagination, I've created whole worlds and systems to roleplay in these worlds and stories to play out in these worlds, from scratch.

Books can be fantastic, but it's not every persons cup of tea. No need to act like it's better than everything else.

Pretence is one of the most detestful parts of social media and the internet by me. All these self-righteous and seemingly witty quotes and pictures posted by facebook users and whatnot make me even more cynical. Cliche, pretentious and hypocritical.
As far as books go, it's okay jutsu. Imagination isn't really what is needed to read a book. A good book can easily make you imagine the picture and story it wants to convey. Perhaps some people prefer to be presented with pictures rather than words. However, you are more challenged by words. You have to admit that a movie is a more passive experience than a book. That's why people will try to accuse you of not reading books and say that you don't want to be challenged.
Though I don't say that movies don't challenge you. But the visual media don't need as much participation from the viewer as a book needs from a reader.
