My only request is don't hold back because I'm new :)

That goes without saying.

Don't be scared! Criticism's are always more important than empty praises.

Z, I love your style.

(also agree with you about God, btw).

I was the exact same way when I was younger. Different subjects, but same principle. When I was really young I discovered that (when I put in effort) I can work magic with words, and that logic and reasoning was a piece of cake for me.

My parents used to give me trouble with my choice of degree/career, saying that it is a super tough job and can be really boring, the grad school was too expensive for us, etc etc etc.

But they eventually stopped when I started showing them letters from profs saying that I was soaring in my abilities, and then eventually got a scholarship for doing my law school.

Really, I think that every job is tough and boring for the wrong person.

I could not imagine spending the time to animate. I think it's cool, but I would go insane.

I know that corporate law would (and, quite frankly, has) literally put people in early graves.

But, because we are doing what we love, the jobs are not the least bit tough or boring for us. Every time I hear some younger guy talk about doing something just for money, I try to pull them aside and talk to them. I mean, look at the people in (New York, I think) that do exorbitant hairdos for dogs. Ya know, that sounds really wacko to me, but their doing great financially, and from the interview I saw on TV, they are happy. And they are doing something that not one soul would think could have made them rich.

If you're doing what you love, chances are you will be pouring every inch of your soul into your work, and that's going to result in success in your career. Aiming for the success without first having something into which you can pour your enthusiasm will result in nothing.

As a side note, Z, I've heard that Pixar is rated as one of the most fun places to work. Might want to look into internships there over the summer.

Pixar is also one of the hardest places to work in.

In one open spot, there would be tens of thousands of animators applying.

Welp, that shows you how much I know about animating.

Still, I'm sure if you're good enough, you can get that one spot.

But Imagine how hard maintaining that one spot would be.

Funny thing? One of my soon to be animation teachers worked with Disney Pixar :) ironic right? Lol

I'm glad we can agree on a lot of things :)

Well, I guess being in an accident doesn't count, eh? Not the best way to start off a New Year, but at least I got to spend more time with my family. :D

Not really? Unless you count the colds that come in every morning and night.

Get better, Ignus.
