My childhood of Legos dislikes this pic.
Personally, I do enjoy it though.

Thats pretty cool. Do you assemble and disassemble them for fun? Or have they remained in a fixed position for a while?

I setted them up yesterday for fun. I actually had to look for parts in 5 different boxes that were scattered around my house. That of course after I dusted off the island and ship. They are certainly going to stay for a while but when they get too much dust... The island is also a collectible set that features perhaps the first barefoot figures. It was made in the 80s and I was pretty lucky to find it in a retail store.
Other than dioramas and collecting collectibles I also do figure customising. Which is a rather painful ordeal since klickies (a collectors term for pm figures) aren't exactly made to be dismantled easily. They require both force and technique.

Also TLS it really depends on what you grow up with. I grew up with PM and now I still love them for the attention in detail and sets that would propably not be made by other toy companies. Circus Knife thrower? Airport security? Medieval framework houses? This are quite rare to see in other toys. Perhaps that's why PM make good collector's items.

For the record, I think AC games suck the white wiggly wang of a walrus. But that's just me sharing my opinion, and my opinion makes you upset, feel free to fall into an open grave.

falling into an open grave sounds like fun

you should try it

Heh, I do like PM, but Legos were my childhood. I agree with your sentiment in the regard that its all about nostalgia. We have Lego Frozen sets tho. Perhaps that is why Lego's quality has dropped since I first loved them.

Yeah, I can see the gripes some people have with licenced sets. They kind of restrict the creativity of playing. There are so many things you can do with the variety of untainted themes of PM. Zombie Knights? Pirates vs Knights. Let's do that. I had pretty fond memories of playing such senarios. I remember almost every name I gave to my figures. On the other hand licenced sets kind of restrict these senarios to the plots from the movies or universes of these licences. Though I do trust kids to come up with their own weird ideas, you can't argue that licences have some effect.

Bummer that AC is what people call Assassins Creed.

The first thing that snaps to my mind is Armored Core, but hey. Giant robots.

Τhere it is:
Diorama (Click to Show)

I've been a playmobil fan for since I can remember and a playmobil collector and aficionado for for more than 6 years. I have collected about 350 figurines,6 pirate ships, 8 buildings of varying sizes and many other accesories, bases and misc that I can't count right now. My pirates are perhaps the jems of my collection. I'm not too big of a collector but I'm still growing.

Nice... now make a show out of it.

Hey everyone,

So I'm sending private messages to people here on Stickpage, but they're not showing up on my "Sent" folders. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Yeah I've had that too for years. Kinda just accepted it as a sad fact of life at this point :(

Also hey Stuff, how's life treating you?
