I suggest we pit all candidates in arena style fights to the death and let natural selection do the voting for us.

Pretty sure Trump would simply pay people to kill everyone for him.

why even waste your time discussing politics and forming opinions if you're not going to vote?

Why waste my time voting when the electoral college is just going to decide my opinion for me?

They'll never make it through Bernie's shield of SJWs. Surely all these layers of fat will act as some sort of bullet proof shield.

The electoral college has absolutely nothing to do with primary elections.

What do you propose the alternative be? The electoral college exists so that the candidate who wins the most states in the general election becomes president. If it was based entirely on the popular vote then the 10 or so most populous states would control the election and the remainder would have virtually no say. Candidates wouldn't even bother campaigning in the smaller states and they'd be left out of the process entirely.

All of that ignores the fact that your vote still directly contributes to where the electoral college votes go. If your candidate wins the popular vote then they win the entire state and they can't possibly do that when their base consists of disillusioned non-voters like yourself.

I tried watching "It's a beautiful day" and I didn't get it. It just seemed really pretentious

Isn't "Its a beautiful day" a song? What do you mean you watched it? You watched the music video.

My final thoughts on this voting thing, won't discuss it further because I really don't think people over an internet forum will be convinced:
Refusing to vote will always be a hipster, lazy, defeatist, apathetic way of dealing with problems. That is how it always will be. No great political change has ever been brought on by a refusal to act, at any point in democratic history. Yet, people often delude themselves with pseudo-intellectual political analysis that they absorb from half-baked sources and convince themselves that it is the right course of action OR that refusing is vote is not harmful, both of which are wrong.

It'll be better than when parents took their kids to see Deadpool. "Oh, Timmy, look at how all the food is loving and happy and OH GOD TIMMY, COVER YOUR EARS!"

That movie reminds me of how I myself treat food. As an alive being screaming silently as each an every part of it gets slowly mutilated and chewed until there's nothing but a husk.

For me it seems like an interesting concept. Although I can't see an explanation on why the foods are alive and moving without the humans noticing. Also this hotdog bun seems like some sort of lovecraftian monster or this fungus man from Primeval.
