Or you know, just rely on good will and fairness.

when you create a game, you cannot deny the fact that you're at an advantage because you know how to work the game in ways other people don't.
Dec 15, 2016 3:48 AM #1470431
Not if the players aren't even willing to read the whole rules of the game.

I don't feel the same way, mostly because a) The games I run are not my 100% creations, but actual games. and b) I've never played them IRL to the point of mastery.
I'm not going to cheat in a game with no incentive to

I don't have anything to say about this topic for once. You might see why in June/July.
So I'm going to post incidental memes.

Well I've found two sites with a choose then reveal at once feature already but neither properly supported 100% custom text so they didn't work. I'm going to keep looking.
Of course I would not cheat but I would not want there to even be an possibility for me to.
It seems co-host is the only way to ensure no cheating but that opens up all sorts of delay problems. :/

Wouldn't you have had to be able to read the word "reading" in order to ask what it is?

Cook makes a good point that the game master is at an unfair advantage over the players.
This normally wouldn't be a big deal if you're on traditional table top and are playing NPC's for players. Game masters would also have to make make accurate decisions according to the rules and be somewhat adversarial by default as they had to run the enemies as well. Switching between personalities, narrative and combat. It's a skillful juggling of your emotional energies.
But when you're competitively invested in a game, you could have both your hands on the bible and swear on your mommas grave and it's still gonna be suspicious.
Besides, you should consider how it'll effect the way the games feels. For example if the game master wins, what will they say? Can the other players gang up on you?
The best solution is usually to have another dungeon master, who can do it for you.
Yeah this is pretty much the bane of every game ever.

Alright did some math.
if I read 2 pages of the chat thread every day, it would take me 215 years to finish.
if i read 3 pages every day, 143 years.
if i read 150 pages every day, 2.8 years.
If I read 200 pages every day, 2.1 years.
Looks like I better get started today.

But how would you know if a post is retarded or not? You'll have to read it to find out. No, looking at the person who wrote the post won't help, that only makes you ignorant.
