Has anyone seen handmaidens tale?
I'm normally interested in stories about dystopian futures so I'm curious.

But it seems like some sick fantasy designed to ooze feminism in a transparent comparison to modern society where the author is simply imagining the worst of the worst rather than something well flushed out.
I mean I'm going to have to suspend my disbelief BIG TIME, to think that the women in this story went from what's essentially our world to some crazy misogynistic hell-scape over the course of one lifetime. It just seems to defy basic storytelling and...logic...

How am I supposed to stomach the notion that our modern society is supposedly going to be all on board with enslaving women overnight the way depicted in this show/book? It doesn't make any sense. So I guess what I want to know is...is this worth my time? Or is this just some typical paranoid feminists fears generalizing and vilifying men hypocritically?

Because my senses are telling me it's the latter, but my inner skeptic wants to tell me it may be the former.
