View Profile That and Pineapple juice breaks down protein bonds, and might dissolve the cheese a wee bit if applied while still wet.
I don't think that's true, that enzyme is used in some types of cheesemaking, heat destroys it very quickly and most places use canned pineapple which doesn't have the same effect.
Man I could go for some hawaiian pizza

View Profile ^Agreed, Hawaiian pizza is great. I do know as a kid I didn't like the sweet flavor, though. To be fair, the lower the grade of ingredients used, the shittier the Hawaiian pizza will taste, tending towards that sickeningly not-quite-right-somehow sweet flavor.

View Profile Honestly, if you put enough counterbalance ingredients to balance the pineapple then the pizza tastes pretty fucking good.
Also, can confirm what Alph's saying - ingredient quality has a pretty big part in it. But then again, ingredient quality always has a big part in pizza.

For real tho, ingredient quality is a big part in making anything. You need good, quality stuff to make a dish taste great. Not the other way around.

View Profile Well that starts with the right ingredients to at least make some people (not me) like it.

Didn't say they were, just said they were the right ingredients to make some people like it.

Didn't you say that you need quality ingredients to make enjoyable food though?

True, now I sound stupid. Well... I guess those people eating the Ramen then enjoy choking on half-baked chicken and noodles.

View Profile Ramen (in the package, not the cup) can actually be super good if you know what to add to it. I usually add soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey/maple syrup(just a bit-trust me on this) a little bit of Sriracha, a little bit of butter, and occasionally, chicken flavouring. Then I boil it down into a nice sauce :) It's basically a cheap home-made honey garlic sauce. The right ingredients can make even the cheapest dish taste great.
(also this is my first time commenting on anything here, I just really like food, k?)

View Profile Welcome to the forums. I've mixed in roast beef and veggies with cup noodles before and that wasn't half bad. Obviously if you just did that with higher quality noodles (and to the guy up top, some better sauce lol) it'd taste better, but every dish can't be gourmet I guess.

View Profile Ooh roast beef and veggies would be good! I used ramen noodles to make my own teriyaki beef & broccoli before and that was pretty good. Living on a super tight budget for the last year taught me to get creative with ramen, Lol.
