I'm actually kind of distracted at the moment, having a great conversation with Alive, here. Maybe you could have taken part in it had you stayed on IRC.

It really doesn't have as much to do with the joker as you are thinking. He is a just a symbol of moral relativism. He doesn't care about morals because he doesn't believe they exist, which is why a super sane man can "kill thousands of innocent people." Because he feels like it. Life is kept and taken on a whim, because in the big picture it doesn't matter.

I had to go home and eat lunch. :/ I just happen to be determined by my stomach and I couldn't have stayed at school.

Also, yeah he does take life and doesn't accept morals. But you can't say it would have been the same exact thing if there was no Batman! You can't neglect the bigger picture because taking things out of context and explaining however you want them is subjective.
