Go to guitar center, pick up one of those starter kits, They have the guitar, a set of strings, Some have an amp, and a guitar strap. But until you get serious about it I wouldn't Suggest tossing boo-koo bucks out for a guitar.

Better yet, go shopping at some pawn shops around you, don't trust them the store clerks though. You can find a nice starter guitar. I'm lucky and I live 5 min away from a pawnshop, where all the workers play in a band.
