Yes. It's supposed to be facing the other way.*

When the shooter fired the gun the bullet went out if the barrel and the slide went back. When the slide reacher a point where it's not covering the spent cartdridge, it's supposed to fly out. Apparently this one did s complete 180 and stayed there until the slide came back forward, causing the jam. This is a very rare thing and normally only happens in bolt actions and assault rifles
