Cool that you're taking time to try and learn it though. Although can I ask what exactly made you want to learn French? I've been taking it in high school because basically everyone in my family can speak it except for my dad, and my direct family likes to go to France pretty often to visit cousins. It just seems like unless you're going to a French-speaking country any time soon, Spanish would be more useful (especially living in so-cal).
