Quote from Jefflmfao I was just fucking around. I'm actually 3 seasons deep in it right now because it is on Netflix. I cancelled my Digital Cable today. Netflix 4 Life.
The best set up for anyone who is internet savvy would be to cut out rogers entirely.
My setup has vonage for phone(about $7/month), teksavvy for internet and no cable(who needs it right?). I just use the sufficient channels I get on antenna for the news and such(all channels are digital too). The internet is the main source of entertainment, so I have a 3 mb down and 1 mb up speed with unlimited bandwidth taking up most of the bill. Just under $50 for the internet alone.
It's worth it, though. At least I'd be saving money by not bundling up with just one company. Though, leaving Rogers is a horrible, tolling process that'd actually lose you more money then you would gain in the short-run of things.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the first Fluidanims tradition has arrived. The Bread Thread is here. I just wanted to inform everyone, since this is possibly the most important thing to happen to Stickpage since Anonymous took over.

Im thinking about getting in with this internet service i found out about from one of the salesmen at BestBuy. $40 a month and you get this little USB thing that acts as a wifi/3G/4G hotspot. Bam, wifi wherever you go. Would be especially useful with my laptop. Dont remember what company it was through or the speed details though, ill have to dig out that guys card sometime and check.

You're talking about mobile internet, right? $40/month is pretty cheap, but you'd have to check out the bandwidth restrictions they have on them. From the deaings I've had, the restrictions are terrible. Close to 5 gb a month would cost over $60. Maybe, that was just for phones though. I'm not sure about wifi sticks. That rogers rocket stick thing might be similar.

My MyTouch4G can set-up mobile Wi-Fi hotspots using the T-Mobile network. It's pretty handy dandy when I'm riding on the train or riding passenger with someone to/from school, because I take my laptop everywhere. It does get frustrating when I'm not in well-developed areas, because when the signal drops, the connection speed drops. It also makes my phone get uncomfortably hot.
With the USB receiver-whatever, it'd be good to look into what network you'll be using and whether or not they have good coverage where you'll most often be using the device.
