I don't take offense to things like "That's gay" and "faggot" because I see/hear it so often that it's just 'how life is' for me now. I just block it out and pretend they didn't say it for the most part. I kinda do wish I could get people to stop doing it but I don't have the will for something like that at this time of my life, nor am I smart enough to make a sound justification for why you shouldn't say things like that. All I know is that it's not nice, but common courtesy is not a good enough argument.

This reminds me that I had a dream last night where a super homophobic dude in my school who I had a German class with turned out to actually be gay.

I haven't noticed many straight people saying offensive things anyway, other than those two. And since I hang out with the lame, nerdy crowd, most of those guys don't use words like that.

Just do what I do and take solace in the fact that you're not a massive asshole.

That said, there's definitely a gay joke in that sentence somewhere. but, seriously, it's just nice knowing how awful most people are, and that I'm not one of them.
