I hate when my parent mix cereal. I like my cheerios and my cornflakes to be separate!

My story about cereal was so interesting, that any other post that comes after is unworthy.

can anyone solve this logical conundrum?

Jul 7, 2012 11:10 AM #691986
I think that the answer is B). A) = D) so if you'll think on the question then the right answer would be 25% (A) and D)). This means that there are 2 correct answers out of 4. 2/4 * 100% = 50%. Or something, my logic sucks.

So a standard multiple choice will have a 25% chance of selecting the right answer. However since there are 2 of the same answers, it becomes 50%. But If I were to choose 50%, it will be incorrect as there are now only 3 answers and therefore the chances of selecting the correct answer is 1/3. But then this means that it can't be 50% MOTHA FUKING TELL ME THE ANSWER!!!
Edit:Continue. Since there is now a probability of 1/3, the correct answer can't be 50% or 25% nor 60%. Conclusion. There is no answer.

The odds of selecting any of those numbers at random is 25% -- so 50% cannot be the correct answer, as you only have a 25% chance of choosing it.
The question is self-referential and doesn't define what the correct answer is, making the odds of randomly selecting it out of four potential answers impossible to determine.
The premise makes no sense and the potential answers are incompatible with it. There's no solution.

The right answer isn't written, the actual chance of you getting the right answer is 0% because none of the probabilities match up.
-A and D are both 25%, but the probability of choosing 25% is 50%, so that doesn't work.
-B is 50%, but the probability of choosing it is 25%, and similarly for C.

Yeah SkaGrind your argument is invalid... people can post here and still have social lives.
