the way you said "Didn't really work out that well" about my own efforts made me think that you used to visit the forum a really long time ago and got to see it go downhill or something, like back when Jeremy and Hyperion posted, but I guess getting an invitation that one time not too long ago explains it. I haven't tried to make the forum active myself in over a year (at least not "desperately", since you could count my signature). The person who did try to make outworld active a couple of times recently was muttonhead, who did the failed thing you're thinking about

Brian is outworld the same site as stickpaeg but just with a name change? Or is it a whole new thing. I never joined outworld, but I did join stickpaeg out one point.

The last time I was there Outworld was Stickpage for 13 year olds.

I believe it was something like the pivot gif you described. At least it was for a while, until I started having someone like Brent make an avatar for me.
