There's more to an anime than its animation (although some animation in those things is fantastic). You'd probably find One Piece, or any other anime in general, way more interesting if you watched it for its story. What you're doing is like playing a game for no other reason than looking at its graphics.

This.

There's a reason there's good anime, and shit anime.
People watch it for the plot more than animation, but it's all it's aspects that keep it afloat, or make it sink.
Btw, dubbing in multiple languages is expensive, so they found a way to lip sync while making it look like the dubbed and original fit the sync.
In original exclusive anime, you'll find the lip sync more in place because it's only intended to be shown in 1 language, and that is Japanese.

He said he lived in Sweden but I always assumed he was lying because he came across as the kind of person who would lie about pointless things.

Do you remember his rap? It was awful and hilarious, but he had a British accent while he was doing it.

No, I don't think I saw that. I'm just remembering the last time (?) that he's come back so far. He posted his own picture about as much as Highly does now, and he kept talking about how many "Swedish bitches" he had or something.

i'm pretty sure the plots aren't actually anything engaging. also, the porn analogy isn't a very good one.

Because regressing to watching stick figures is so much more interesting. Plot wise, ingenious. There's no greater story then to see two stickmen beat the crap out of each other for no apparent reason.

I also can't get into anime. It bores me to death. Maybe I need to watch a better one, I really don't know.

Anyway, Happy Turkey Day! Let's all get fat.

Explain.

Don't tell me you watch every anime for its animation as much as you watch porn for its plot or play games for their graphics. Animation is such a shallow reason to watch anime.

And not to distort my metaphor anymore than you have, but sometimes the manga is better anyways. I only watch the anime if it's not a long-runner like One Piece (which btw is awesome I concur).

i don't think so. animation has just as much importance as plot in a tv show, just like how gameplay has just as much importance as plot in a video game. the animation in a show helps to convey the plot in an entertaining way. to say that watching anime for animation is shallow is, quite honestly, an ignorant statement. a lot of people on here enjoy terkoiz's animations, and NONE of them ever have plots. they watch them for the animation.

thats because we go into them only expecting a good animation
its about the thought process
f you go into an anime only focused on the animation and nothing but, the rest of the anime will probably be ruined for you if it does not meet your standards
if you head into watching a new anime to watch an ANIME, taking it the way it is, and assessing it as a whole instead of just animation in general, then youre bound to have a better viewing experience
but if all you wan is good animation, there are lots of anime like that too, so its whatever, you do you man.

This is false.
Some more deep than others, but he does have plots in them.
-FF last mages.
The last 2 mages on earth fighting to be the last mage.

-FLLFFL vs Pulse
(Do I really need to explain the plot here?)
FLLFFL has been challenge by pulse for a duel to the death.

Simply business
One of the more mild plots, aimed towards a comedic side, an attorney fighting for his client's case...literally.

I can bring up books too. You don't need it to happen in front of you for a good and entertaining plot.
What would be the point of narratives then? they don't have fancy moving pictures to entertain the reader.
