Prom wasnt bad, i just went home afterwards so i avoided any after partys. All in all it was good, decent music and good food. My date had no idea how to dance though....at all. It was fun regardless.

I was looking at an article about the future of next generation console games, with the developer of Rage stating that unfortunately many developers will still be targeting 30fps instead of 60fps. In my opinion all console games should be locked at 60fps (Rage is a prime example. That game looks better than 99% of console games and it didn't dip lower than 60fps the whole time I played it). If you come from PC you're generally used to being finicky about frame rates, and generally can't stand anything around 30fps or lower. It's natural for the human eye to favour 60fps. This is why I can't stand consoles; the games run like shit.
Look at this dumb ass comment:
"For a huge amount of games 30 fps is the right call. It suspends disbelief and pulls you into the world. The feeling of fake is exaggerated in higher framerates. 30 fps is a perfect balance between gameplay and immersion."
"a feeling of fake"
What the fuck is wrong with you?

Hey, it's not nice to pick on people with diseases, even if the diseases are "Stupidity" and "Anti-logic".

Well, I'm not gonna mind anything below 60 fps, as long as it stays somewhere around 30 fps and is playable. I have such a crappy rig that when even on lowest settings POSSIBLE, Planetside 2 still runs at around 25 fps. 35 tops. Warframe also runs slow for me with lowest settings.
So I'm not gonna really bitch about framerate as long as I can play it at 30 fps.

I don't really mind 30 fps unless I really start to notice it. I mostly play Nintendo games anyway, so framerate has never been a huge issue to me.

When I see new games, I expect them to have a high framerate.

People that still accept the laziness of developers not simply improving their engines, but instead just capping it at 30 frames a second, are the cancer ruining gaming

Sometimes I play at 2fps, but that's less the fault of the developers and more to do with me trying to play Dragon Age: Origins on my laptop.

Quote from HewittBorderlands 2 at 30 FPS for the win...
I hate my PC so much
I should take some photos of the HD projector + 100" screen I have in my room, running Borderlands 2 1920x1080 with all of the settings maxed out. According to fraps it averages around 80-90 FPS. I fucking love my new video card.
Crysis 3 runs fine with all of the settings maxed out too, but that usually hovers around 45-50 FPS in the outdoor portions. Still looks amazing.

Lol, I know that problem.
I was wondering, is there any interest in some general AS3 programming threads for the tutorials section?
