Well I joined and put in a lot of effort because I was hoping to get money from this for something very specific, if that is that is the case then things are going to get much more difficult for me since I'm currently out of work and trying to find a way to make it freelance.

I think you should. We have the right to know since we were under the impression we would get a prize out of it. Its already been 5 months and honestly this sort of thing will discourage anyone from joining another animation competition.

Is he bankrupt? Is CJ gone? Does Stickpage have nothing left? Who does the prize money? Are they too crappy to even be judged?

Honestly I agree with X-treme, I didn't realize its already been 5 months and we haven't heard any bit of news it is a little frustrating?

Of all the possible combination of words ever existing, you chose one of the worst ones that, instead of solving a problem, makes it way bigger than before -.- (and I'm gonna already say that what I wrote doesn't help one bit to the discussion (but, you know, I want myself to be heard once in a while))

I'm just saying for you guys to know. It's better than not knowing anything. Releasing results for this and the reason behind it are totally different, at least you are updated.
Plus, it's better for the staff to officially announce their final decision and the reason to it, instead of me making a big fuss over it.

With what I said, at least you could already stop hoping for results. If an official announcement came after that there indeed would be results, then good.
But If I didn't say anything, and they announced that there won't be results. You would just get frustrated as you are now, thus you won't be waiting longer now.

And yes, I'm also frustrated that there won't results. I've had to wait like 3 months to get my friend's prize money on Classic Crossover. Him being in the Beginner Category, along with Alphaseagull. They both didn't get their prize money until after a long time. Which they should have gotten first since they were on beginner, and their anims weren't featured in the front page.

I agree with that, a staff member should be the one to announce that. I really wonder what going on over there because this and the DDC3 (over a year now since that ended) is really disappointing.

I'm happy you told us. Personally I am heavily discouraged from joining any further competitions on Stickpage. It should not have taken 5 months for a staff member to release such information. I had pm'd stone and CJ on numerous accounts, and did not receive any reply. I would have taken this knock lightly if at least one of them had told us months ago that the results would not be released, then I wouldn't have had 5 months of false hope. I don't even know if I will even release solo projects to them either. It's very frustrating.

The conditions of this competition were that they take your animations, put them up on the front page and you guts make money. Now if I'm not mistaken, they've taken your animations and blatantly disregarded the conditions of their own competition. Basically stole your work and are making money off of it while you see no benefit. I'm not entirely sure what to think about "the staff" here at this point.

Literally stole the words from xtreme yes, but honestly, this isn't something that should just be glossed over like this. I didn't even participate and the fact that you guys aren't going to get any money at all from this actually pisses me off. That's like signing a contract to work saying you'll make minimum wage for your services over a month, then after the month they just let you go and say "tough luck, thanks for the work you did though, it really helps us out"

I guess it depends on how Crazy Jay is feeling right now yeah? Since apparently, he can ignore all social and LEGAL conventions of a competition and just up and decide that no one is worthy of the money that was promised them

If you guys aren't gonna keep your promises, then don't make them. Seriously, there are people on this site that work on anims to make some extra money for personal needs or something and if they spent all that time on things they wouldn't get payed for, then you just basically stole their time and money. I have no right to be angry cause I didn't join this, but just like what Drone said, the fact that the participants didn't get their money pissed me off.

I probably wouldn't complain if they released an update like: "Sorry guys, the prizes will be delayed.", or "Sorry guys, no prizes because of the following reasons:......" or something. But from what I read, there's nothing, no updates.

This will discourage everyone, especially the new guys to actually animate or join any competitions, which would probably be more of a loss than a benefit for not giving people their money.
