I really dont see the point of this thread. You all keep talking about the people you wish you knew better but I dont really see you hanging out in these people's haunts to begin with. What, are you expecting them to come to you: God's Gift to these Users?

I was actually waiting for that. Not cause I had something to say about how ultra important this thread is but I just kinda new that a mod would bust in with the "this is stupid" line.

Anyway I was thinking about it for a while, saw people making random(seemed random to me) threads and wondered what would happen if I posted this. Anyway I've seen what I wanted to and no longer care what happens here. Goodbye

I just said that I don't see the point. Take yourself for example: We're in this forum all the time, and honestly the only time you pop up in General is if you want to say a line or two in the chat thread. Then you complain you wish you knew people better. Are you expecting Hyun to descend from the dojo and personally grace your RHG thread and say "good job on your pivot"? Of course not.

I mean, what I'm basically saying is, you take the first step to getting to know people. You wanna get in touch with the greats? Seek them out.

Awkwardness might ensue though and they might turn us away for being 'unworthy'.

But you don't know that if you never tried.

When I first came to the IRC, I talked with people I never knew as if they were people, not because they were gods. And they were nice bunches. All of em. Frank, Rhythm, Hyun, etc. So I don't get what the issue is. Sure, they might not remember you talking to them. But is that the point? I could've pursued it if I really wanted to.

I want to reclarify: There's nothing wrong with talking about people you wish you knew better, but when it's been observed that you don't even attempt or goto where these people are then you whine about it, then that's you're own goddam fault.

Fair point then, let's all hang out on skype or something.

Personally I wish I knew my clanmates better. We always seem to chat about planning clan stuff and joke around here and there ,but we don't really KNOW about eachother that much. Mostly because of work and school getting in the way so we mostly chit-chat about clan biz. Its a shame really.

Also I would like to get to know more of the chat thread folk, but it just feels too vulgar and convoluted for my taste and pming them without reason usually leads to a dead convo so I avoid it.

So far the most success I have had in getting to sort of know the folks of SP were through the SP Tiny Chat party. Scarecrow with his medical issues and great taste in music and mind melting videos. Nish being less intimidating when you hear him speak and actually a cool dude to chat with when not insulting you. Captain Cook with his military biz...that is as much as I know about him. Sacred and his magical lady wooing prowess. Jombo with mad drawing skills and his lovely depiction of myself with hard nips (see sig).

Forum-wise it is difficult to get to know folk and I wish I could get to know more of you.

I have alot of people I wanna get to know, but I don't want to post because it honestly doesn't matter to me. It's the journey not the destination. I didn't even expect Gaaading to pop up much less pour his heart into Knights of Camilot when I made that thread. And now though he doesn't think as much, I would say we've gotten closer. Especially that one time where we talked about your issues. It's these things that I'm talking about that put some effort into making bonds. It just takes time and it all starts with you.

I just don't understand what Rokon frustratingly accepts when all he does is hangout in his clan thread as king all day.

Not being goodie goodie per say. Just the particular topics of discussion are not my cup of tea. Though I will try and post in there more often.

I will say tho that I used to absolutely wish I got to know the FA WL. Buuut I've since lost faith in the wRHG system when I realized that it doesn't matter how good you write, all people really wanna see if your guy can beat the other guy and how. Which is lame.

well sorry for thinking you were saying it was dumb last time you said you didn't "see the point" in one of my threads the whole thing became one big argument.

That's not true I roam quite often. Yeah I stay in the rhg section(which is normally to avoid ending up in this situation with you) and I post in my clan more than other places but I don't just sit around in my (metaphysical) throne all day.

And just to put it out there Me and Jomm have talked it just doesn't happen as often as I'd like.(mainly since I don't wanna go to DD)
