That's not the original Boxhead. This is.

Read:
http://www.boxheadgame.com/boxhead_games.html

Read the listing. It says that Boxhead: The Rooms was the first. Besides, it's "Boxhead: Halloween Special", not just "Boxhead", and you can see that it was the evolution of The Rooms' gameplay.

Though. You should make it like if they have sunlight on them. And if the gameplay is at night.Obvious, they have lamps on.But zombies are smart though. They would obviously shatter the lamps. But,we are more smarter.Torchlight pl0x lol.*click* *Arrrgh minus 2000000000000000000 hp* *click**click**click**batteries die* *Oh shi-*

Smart zombies are ****ing stupid.

What program are you making it in? I can give better ideas if I know the program.

I'm using Microsoft Visual C# Express Edition with XNA Game Studio. As in actual programming.

How about having Ash as a bonus character?
Boomstick and chainsaw amirite?

Lol, I just might do that. I'll probably make it so that you can't submit a high score if you are playing as him, though. I'll probably do it by hiding the Necronomicon ex Mortis inside one of the levels, and when the player picks it up it will add him to the class selection screen.

Graphics wise, are we talking coloured dots, or full blown full body top down characters?

I'm talking full-blown top-down characters. 4reelz.

EDIT//
Knowing you Ash, this game will be packed with homages, how about some stealth elements, like your character can't be found if he/she are hiding in a pile of dead bodies (Just make it a Zombie AI blind spot). To counter-act people just hiding like girls, make their health decrease at intervals (Not over time, cos that would make the run and gunning tactic a bit hard)?

Hmm... I just might do that. It would be a bit odd to program, but I could pull it off.

Are you gonna put in a two player hunt mode? where each player starts with a sniper rifle and has to kill the other player while fending off zombies.
it'd be kinda fun...

Nah, I'm not going to do any two-player stuff, unless by chance I become 100x better at programming by the time I get a Premium account and can do 360 games.

If you're going for the sort of zombies that infect living humans and grow into zombies, make it that the zombies are very human and are faster but weaker at the start, with fewer to deal with, and at the end they are very slow, but hard to kill, and they attack you in huge groups.

As for classes, how about at the start you can choose your own stats, adding up to a certain number, and your class is determined based on what points you have chosen?

Let's say you have four options for stats to go into, Strength, Speed, Accuracy, and Health. Strength would add to melee damage, speed would make your character run faster and reload time shorter, accuracy would make your shots less likely to miss, and health would make your character more difficult to kill.

Now, if at the start, you could allocate 20 points in total to stats of your choice, you could probably make it that your class is dependent on your stats.

For example, if the player chose the stats to all have '5', he would be playing as a civillian.

But if the player were to go with something like:

Strength: 3
Speed: 10
Accuracy: 2
Health: 5

They would start the game as an 'athlete' class.

Although, this could become complicated, because you would probably need a lot of class for the wierd combinations people might come up with (ie: speed + health = ???)

But, this idea would also leave room for levelling up; when you level up, you might be able to add one point to a stat of your choice, or something.

Also, a flamethrower might be a nice unlockable, but then it might be becoming too much like Zombie Shooter.

Flaming zombies.......

oh and what about zombie dogs?
A level where in the cinamatic you run into a big pet shop to escape a massive hord. But undead dogs attack/rape you.

That's interesting. The idea is similar to the signs of the zodiac used in the Sims: You either choose a pre-picked sign, or you allocate skill points and it tells you what sign your sim is.
