View Profile It's not bad, but there's a poor sense of balance in it. Everything is competing to be the major focus and it ends up looking messy if you stare at it long enough. You have little understanding of foreground and background colours, and you'll want to learn them if you want to give a sense of depth, you'll want to avoid very bright and vibrant background colours. Darken or dull them down if you have to (blurring it works as well), otherwise everything just looks too close together and makes it look cluttered. Be careful with the title colours, especially that whole 3D effect because it strains peoples eyes to read and it's pretty irritating.

View Profile @Vishal Thanks dude~
@Charry, I see what you mean regarding the clutter and the different elements all vying for attention. Thanks for your insight.

View Profile Out of curiosity, what's the target demographic for this? I know everyone is taught "Not to judge a book by it's cover" but for graphic designers, it's pretty much our job that people judge it to be cool and pick it up. That being said, I don't really picture something so vibrant and colorful fitting the story quite so well. I recall the F-Bomb getting dropped in that thing within the first chapter, so I don't necessarily think this would be marketed to people who are too young. 18-24? I don't know, just spit balling, Devour would know better than I would, but being 20, it looks like most of my personal things are either mildly desaturated or only have one dominate color.
Just something to keep in mind.
I do give you props for you Photoshop skills though!

View Profile ooh checked just in time
@Crank. Actually, this was more for practice for myself using another's idea, so I wasn't really aiming it at a particular audience. I actually haven't read any part of the story, so it's not exactly based on the story itself but the basic premise. That being said, I actually toyed with a more muted color scheme for this while making this. Luckily the way I made it, it should still be pretty editable, will update. (Oh and thanks for the compliment :))
Edit: Thoughts on the update?
