THE DUE DATE HAS PASSED, WE ARE NOW IN THE COMPILING PHASE

here are some frequently asked questions i would like to clear up, just so everyone is clear:

-there is absolutely no way to know if your part will be accepted or not until the final product is released. i simply don't have the time to reply to everyone who asks, and i understand why this can be frustrating, but please try to understand it from my perspective and take into consideration how much time it already takes to put something like this together.

-the songs were chosen well before i even started a thread for the collaboration, but i always keep them a surprise, so please don't ask and just wait and see! <3

-Terkoiz is animating the ending again. it's going to be much longer and very different from the doors 3 ending, so get stoked!

-there are many many many reasons why your part may not be used. i ask that you please not let this discourage you. it is my duty as the collaborator to produce a finished product that is enjoyable, entertaining, and that flows well and is easy to understand and take in. BUT that doesn't mean that your part wasn't enjoyable or entertaining. maybe it simply just didn't fit anywhere. ( i am every picky about music synchronization and timing. it doesn't seem that important but it's a large factor in the success of my collabs and this series). Maybe your part is very similar to someone else's, and for the sake of cutting down on repetition, i could only choose one. and the hardest one to hear, by far, is that maybe you just aren't experienced enough yet. i have a fairly high standard when it comes to these things. that's the only reason they are so popular and successful. if i included every single entry, it would be a jumbled mess of different skill levels and it literally wouldn't make any sense at all. there's no real way to know what's good enough and what isn't. i simply have a mental idea of what i want in my head, and i either watch a part and it fits into that idea or it doesn't. BUT i don't do this in order to be harsh. i don't want any of you to think that you matter less because your part isn't accepted. i was rejected from tons of stuff early on. i tried to make so many things and failed miserably. that's just how it starts. that's how anything starts. you aren't automatically good at something. PLEASE, keep animating, keep practicing, i promise you it gets much easier, and it becomes more and more fun each day you improve. i love each and every member of this community, and even if you don't make it in to the final product, i'm so thankful for your contribution and i'm so proud of you for trying so hard.

-unfortunately, i do not have time to compile all the entries that do not make it in.

-the original release date for doors 4 was december 1st, but since i moved the due date to that very day, the release date has been pushed back as well. there isn't a confirmed date that it will be released on yet, but i'm shooting for december 15th!

-this really will be the final installment of doors. doors 3 was meant to be the ending, the only reason i added to that was because you all asked for it so much and i love working with you all! but in january of 2015 i'm moving to california to go to concept design academy to study art and animation, so i simply won't have time for another one (plus i think 4 is enough. you can only run through so many doors before it starts to get boring). i'll still make small collabs and stay active though! no worries!
