So me and my dad had gone to a church service a few days ago at the swedish embassy. (My parents wanted me to know how the services worked.) The priest asked us sometime in the middle of the service if we were scared of death. He said that he wasn't scared of death, but scared of death for his friends and family. (He's married)

So are you guys scared of death?

I'm not afraid of suddenly dying, but put in a situation where I could possibly die, I'd probably be afraid of the prospect of being killed

I'd be lying if I said I don't fear death. But I don't fear a sudden and quick death, I fear a long and painful death.

I'm not afraid of the afterlife. I'm afraid of the actual feeling/process of death. How awful it must feel to be grasping for breath, feel your body just giving out

I'm scared of death not because it hurts or because it ends, but scared because I might've left something unfinished. I fear for my life if my dreams aren't achieved but once I'm settled on all of my matters I'll accept the bitter end.
