Marcus looked at Liss in pity almost, Ravin and Jessica weren't helping so much. As Ravin began to walk towards her, Marcus reached out and took him by the shoulder, yanking him back to stop his advance. He used his wings to create a gust of wind to knock the poisonous mist away from Lissette. Before she had time to react to the strong breeze, Marcus had already wrapped one hand around her neck, and covered her mouth and nose with the other. His blue eyes stared deep into her red eyes. He knew the jolly green-eyed Lissette was in there, he just had to bring her out. He turned her head to the side, and whispered in her ear, "You don't have to run anymore..." His hand moved from her mouth and slid to the back of her head, streaming his fingers through her raven black hair. He pulled her head in close and locked lips with her once again, more intimately than the first time. He hope that his green-eyed companion would at the very least be able to feeling his loving embrace once more. As Marcus' wings wrapped around the two once more in what seemed to be a comforting manner, but was really to shield Jessica and the others from any more black mist. Moments later he began to release her neck, not wanting to hurt her anymore, he whispered "I'm sorry about your head". He had placed his safety, his life, in Lissette's hands. Not knowing whether or not he would live or die, kissing her one last time would be one hell of a way for him to go out.

Boris glanced out at the flickering bright white figure of Themba, and he had so many questions, and she could only look down at him and smiled as he cried. The Splinter Fright was disintegrating slowly below her, so it was as if he was hugging that beast.

"Boris, the werewolves, they...," She paused for a moment, her smile turning into a frown, "They invaded at first as vicious animals. We were able to hold them off for a while, simply because they never thought to work together. Then...that damned enchantress."

She let out a sigh, "She tamed the werewolves, made them into a hive mind. She wiped away the memories of everyone here aside from the last few weeks, so that they would have no attachments. I couldn't handle it. I had to find you, because I knew you were probably the only one who could help stop this..."

She looked down at the ground, no longer looking into his eyes, "She...She caught me Boris...Turned me into this....wretched thing," If spiritual figures could cry, she definitely was, "I wanted to find you, I prayed to the gods that you would save this city....and you did."

She looked up at him again, smiling wide once more, "You and your friends saved the city from peril. The werewolves are going to all run off without their leader. You saved us. I'm...So proud of you, Boris."

She put out her hand, beckoning for him to grab onto it. He did so, and she leaned forward, placing a kiss atop his forehead. "I will always be here with you, Boris. Even if my body is not."

Suddenly, her figure shuddered. She glanced down at the Splinter Fright, realizing it was almost finished dissolving. "Boris," She said frantically, "Its almost dissolved. The heavens are taking me. I just want you to know that I l-"

Suddenly, the rest of the beast dissolved into nothing, and in seemingly the blink of an eye, the figure disappeared in another flash of bright light. That was it. The Splinter Fright was completely destroyed. It was over, but at what cost?

The poison wasn't meant for Ravin. As she glared at him. Looking back over to the blind woman she smiled wanting to reply but she then realized a huge gist of wind blew her back. Staggering slightly she went to push more of the mist out only to feel her neck constrict and her mouth and nose to be closed not allowing any mist to come through. A squeak or two came from her mouth as she reached gripping his arms not able to really do much. A shock went through her body as she heard him speak. Her face turned red as she felt his lips press against hers as her hair began to shift white she jerked. Her whimper turned into a whine as her body refused to change. He began to let go of her neck and she wrapped her arms around him. The whole time she was fighting the alpha she was thinking of him but her body wasn't done shifting. Her mist stopped but she wasn't still back together.

Marcus began to pull on Liss' hair as he kissed her once more, much deeper. His arm wrapped around her pulling her body against his. Marcus opened his eyes enough to see her hair changing back to a sleek white. Marcus' heart began to beat faster than it ever had. His chest was tight and his stomach felt whole, like a plethora of metallic butterflies were swarming around inside of him. His wings still wrapping around the two, the bottom-most feathers brushing up against Liss' heels. Marcus didn't think about the fight they just experienced, anyone in their group, Rae-Ala, Heaven or Earth. Marcus was lost in that moment with Liss once more. As far as he could tell, they were the last two people left in existence. Nothing or anyone mattered to him when he felt Liss' comforting embrace. He savored every ounce of the moment they were in.

OOC: Have Jess and Gabe even kissed yet? If not, then Marcus and Liss have gotten much farther in a much shorter time

It was so painful for this transformation to switch over for some reason. The evil within her was growing every day in power as she felt a sharp sting as her evil side broke off for a moment as her hair was completely white. Opening her eyes they were white and bright green as she felt him tighten around her, his wings gracing her bare ankles. Running her now black hand through his hair gripping it before breaking the kiss letting her tears fall onto the ground. "I'm so sorry" Whispering softly she was violently shaking and let go of him to brush her hands against his wings. She was back to being quiet and felt horrible for saying such things to them. "I can't do that again. I don't.." "I won't let myself hurt anyone."

Boris watched as Themba, his only childhood friend, vanishes in a bright light before she could finish her proposal. With tears still running, he fell onto his knees and quietly sobbed.

"Themba... *sniff*... please, take care of Kuulikki for me... I'll be there soon..."

Such a heavy price to save his birthplace, but he did what he can. This pains him deeply for he wished to return and salvage what remains of his past. If only he arrived sooner, he might have saved her, but it was all set and done for there was no other way to prevent an outcome like this. For now, the only thing he can do is collect the remaining feathers and vanquish the looming evil. After all this blows over, he promises that he'll come back and give Kuulikki and Themba the proper burials they deserve.

Life goes on.

Jessica got pushed back by Marcus' wings "Hey..." she said a bit annoyed, she just wanted to help, Lissette was just as important as her own life to her. Tho.. after a few seconds she shifted back to normal, she sighed in relief and steped closer to her, slowly "Don't worry about it Liss, you should have some rest darling" she said friendly to her.

Marcus let his hands roll down to Liss' hips as she brushed her hands across his wings. "Power is a scary thought, as you can hurt your friends just as easily as your enemies. We are all here to help you, Liss. I will not let you hurt yourself or anyone else the same way I will not allow anyone or anything to harm you." Marcus loved the sight of her pretty green eyes. He felt as if they showed her true character, much like his blue eyes did for him. "Jessica is right, though, you must be tired after everything that has happened. I won't lie, I'm feeling a bit drained too. Perhaps we all should find somewhere to stay for the night."

Adric's ears perked up at the mention of finding somewhere to stay for the night. Until this point, everyone seemed to neglect the fact they were in a sewer. A clean one, but a sewer nonetheless. He shot up and took a bow.

"My friends of circumstance! You are in need of shelter and lodging! I can provide it!" He produced the bag of coins like he would produce one of the elixirs he peddled. "Come my friends! And we will find lodging, and warm food, as warm as the new clothing I will provide all of you!" Adric turned and began walking away. He took three confident steps before turning on his heels and facing the party again. His face had not lost any of its telltale confidence. "But first, does anyone know how to get out of here?"

Liss was visibly shaking as she heard Jessica speak to her and looked back at her before gripping Marcus feeling so weak. Looking at his neck she cringed and then looked down. "I do need to sleep..." Glancing over at Ravin she ran her hands down Marcus' wings loving the delicate feeling. Adric then shot up and started talking about a place to sleep and then asked how to get out. "Down the hall to the right is where the bird had dropped me." Running her hand towards Marcus she slid it down his side as well now paying attention to what she was touching.

Ravin saw Liss look over at him. He took this opportunity to approach, in a far friendlier manner than he had just a few moments ago. He held his hands behind his back and shuffled in his feet nervously. After a moment of awkwardness, he began to speak, exceedingly quickly and anxiously

"Listen Lissette I would just like to apologize for doubting that you could beat whatever was controlling you and at the same time sorry for having my hand on my sword that was incredibly rude and I'm very happy that you're back because had we gone toe to toe you most definitely would have beaten me no matter how many poisons you had because you could just turn into a dragon or something and burn me to a crisp not a real crisp though because metal doesn't really do that but you get the idea it's a metaphor and I'm acting like you don't know what metaphors are and I'm sorry about doubting your mental faculties when it came to language I'm sure you know all about metaphors and the like and I'm rambling a fair bit here so once again I would like to apologize!" He stuck out his hand "Friends?"

Liss looked at Ravin as he spoke for quite a long time. It was hard for her to follow, but she did catch sorry a lot and something about metaphors. Nodding and smiling mostly she heard him tell her that he wanted to apologize and then quickly held out his hand. Lissette moved from Marcus to reach over and shake the nervous boy's hand. "It's... okay." Smiling she shook his hand and let go. "We already are friends." Glancing over at Jessica she held her arm and looked down before moving back to Marcus. "W-would it be possible that I share a room with you Marcus?" She felt horrible for what she did and didn't even look up at him as she asked him starting to shake again. It seemed as though she was worried about how he'd feel from her craving his sweet blood.

OOC: Sorry for my absence, I had to catch up on some sleep. Just gonna nudge the plot a little.

From the shadows, an orb of blue fire erupts into existance, illuminating the area rather nicely. Not needing to breathe, Ahriman never actually lost consciousness. He feigned until he judged it was safe to move. His undead vision and mastery over the shadows allowed him to look for clues. "I have discovered two useful bits of information. One, I know the way out of here. Two, the ones who brought us down here also absconded with Adric." He holds up a rag left behind by the culprits. Even from here, it reeks of a very particular brew of alcohol. "I'm quite certain our missing friend likes his licquer strong."
