Desmond, Septimius and Ghan eventually reach the marketplace.

"Search for the parts Ghan. Me and Septimius will search for some food." Desmond said.

Ghan tapped on his metal to confirm the order accompanied by a nod. The clockwork construct moved away towards a stall searchingly; it didn't take long for him to find a pulley and some vinegar.

Found pulley and vinegar. Will search for the others. The thought intruded the mind of Desmond once again. The stitcher could see that Ghan, in fact, tapped his metal through their connection. The glass vinegar bottle was peculiar in design and the pulley seemed just the right size as well. Excellent.

Desmond began his search. The stalls were pretty banged up, most likely from the attacks and the rampant wolves earlier but some of the fruits and vegetables were still fine, if not a bit bruised.

"I've been...detached from the group." Desmond started. "Whats been happening in it?"

The stitcher grabbed an apple and pouched it. Being the gatherer has its perks.

Moving her hair out of the way she felt him place the necklace on her and giggled before turning to him. "Something?" She seemed confused but held up a robe elated. "There are more parts to it?" Liss seemed happy as she gathered some clothes. She then frowned looking at her eerie body next to the girly clothes and only having black clothes in her arms. "I... I like colors too..." She eyed a dark green shirt with a purple and yellow flower on it. "Marcus... Would I look good in colors?" Liss didn't have a bag for her clothes but she did rather like black. "M...maybe white?" Rustling around she found a bunch of small ribbons. Picking one up she wrapped the ribbon up into her hair having a bun on the top of her head. The red fabric made her eyes stand out. "Maybe just a splash of color." She smiled allowing Marcus to state whatever he thought but she did think the black would match her intimidating look. "I'll change at the Inn."

Septimius rolled an apple in his hands before taking a bite out of it. He chewed for a while and wiped some juice that seeped through his lips. "Honestly I have no idea. I've only talked to you... Gabriel... Jessica..." he ticked them off on his fingers, still eating the apple. "And Boris on occasion. There isn't much to say, though between you and me, Gabriel and Jessica really need to pull their acts together around them. They're just..." He sighed and threw the core of the apple away. He looked for more food as silence enveloped the two. Then piped up, "I think Marcus and Lissette are an item now. Guess it's quite obvious. Wonder if Boris has caught on." He felt a little silly gossiping like this, it made them sound just like normal teenagers and not people trying to save the world.

Marcus smiled at the thought of Liss in colored clothing. "I'm not much with fashion and matching things, but if you would like to place some things in my bag we can try things on until we find out what we like. I do like what you've done to your hair though, it looks pretty. Perhaps I should do something with my hair as well." Marcus walked around looking a bit more until he saw something that caught his eye. He quickly grabbed it and slipped it in his bag. "Just let me know when you're ready, dear." He did it again! Except this time it flowed more naturally and comfortably for him. He rather enjoyed Liss' company.

"Marcus and Lissette, eh? Two polar opposites together, interesting." Desmond said aloud, skirted the Jessica and Gabriel topic as he knew it might trigger him to remember Reana. The stitcher found a half empty sack of potatoes. He emptied a bit of it, the yellow root crop tumbled down as he replaced them with apples and the occasional banana. He dragged it out into the open.

"Let's put it all in here." He said. "I understand, I've hardly talked with anyone besides you, Ghan and Ahriman. Ravin and Otael, a bit. Reminds me, I owe them a meal."

Found crushed crossbow parts. May be of use? Ghan said telepathically. The image of a flattened wooden machine entered his head but most should be usable. From the corner of Ghan's vision, Desmond spotted a meat shop.

"Can anyone in our group cook meat? I think I spotted a butcher some place."

"damn it... DAMN IT.... DAMN IT!!" Jessica muttered to herself in each punch she gave to the poor tree. "Just when I was feeling hapiness in my life for the first time in ages" she punched harder "Just when I discover what love really is..." she stopped hiting the trunk and held her last punch, it was shaking trying to hold it, her eyes went glassy as another tear came down "Just when I could finally sleep again and have hopes that I could leave in peace.... why do I feel even worse than before I met everyone". A feeling of frustration, mixed with sadness, anger and regret was flooding Jessica's heart it felt worse than anything she has felt before. Everything she knew about what happened that day might be a lie, and the fact that she knows absolutely anything about it kills her slowly. Like if the demon wanted to torture her mind and soul everyday wondering what happened, Jessica tightened her bleeding fist and yelled out of frustration once more hitting the center of the trunk, the tree started to fall down, hiting the ground violently as she kneeled in front of it. She covered her face with both hands and kept crying... the questions were many... but there were no answers.

"I can use your bag?!" Giddy Liss held her little outfit flinging a colorful sock at him as he picked up something. "This place has a lot of soft clothes!" Hearing him tell her to speak up when she is ready to go she placed a few things in his bag and spiraled around and poked at her new necklace before slowly stopping coming across a pair of boots. "They're made out of leather Marki!" Smiles nodding after swiping the nice shoes. "I think I'm ready to go!" Liss trotted over to her angel and smiled wrapping her one arm around his.

"Adric cooked last time. So I'm sure he could cook it." Septimius looked forward to having meat finally. "You think there's a tavern nearby? Maybe we can grab some alcohol." He chuckled at how him and his brother could finally have that drink. His chuckle turned into a laugh at remembering the prank he had pulled on his brother and how his brother had threatened to pay him back. He looked around for the tavern as they walked towards the butcher's. Something Desmond said interested him however, "What do you mean Marcus and Lissette are polar opposites? Is it because he's an angel?" He hadn't focused on Lissette in the sewer as he fought against Splinter Fright as she fought the Alpha, and he had been incapacitated for the remainder and didn't see the end of the battle. "Is it because she has horns... I mean antlers?"

"A tavern should be close by," Desmond nodded. "I hope Adric is a good cook. I miss meat. I've been having stale bread since we got here."

The stitcher heaved the sack. A bit heavy but the training is needed, he assumed. A sword is heavy, he reasoned to himself.

"Exactly," Desmond said. "An angel and, what I suspect, a demon. Of course, she may just like having horns, she being a shapeshifter, but with the way she fought earlier. That isn't animal."

Soon enough, the duo was in front of the butchery. "Beef or pork?" He looked to Septimius. "I'm pretty sure they have both but we can only carry so much in one sack."

Marcus smiled as he took Liss by the arm and escorted her through the town to a nearby inn. He walked up to the innkeeper and placing two silver pieces on the counter he said "I'll have your nicest room for two, please". The innkeeper handed the angel a steel key and send the two on their way. The room was rather fancy, but there was only one bed... Marcus didn't think anything of it, but he hoped Liss wouldn't mind. "You can change first if you would like".

Goose stepping playfully towards the inn she was imagining her boots on her feet. She's never worn any kind of shoes other than the animal skin moccasins that formed her feet well. She then was marching her way again beside the angel until he opened the room. Gasping she pointed at the bed and looked right up at Marcus. "I call the left side!!" Running full speed she swan dived, miscalculated how bouncy the bed was and reverbed herself hitting the wall next to it. She meant to do that. Really. "This is so nice! S..sturdy walls and things." Climbing out from the wall she trotted over and put her boots down. "I got a night dress thing! I think that's what it's called..." Picking out the red night gown she smiled and twirled with it. "Maybe red is a good color for me." Smiling wide with her skeleton face she trotted towards the bed and blushed. "Uh.. I'll change just uhm... Don't peek.." Looking back at him she squinted her face as to tell him "I'm warning you" as he closed his eyes or did whatever Liss got herself undressed and got into her little red dress. She had scars from today's fight but she cuddled up on the left side of the bed and let out a long sigh. "Your turn."

Marcus had turned away when he was told not to look and as Liss told him it was his turn he began to undress still turned around. He had found a soft pair of sweatpants and a light shirt. The sweatpants were gray and the t shirt was white. As soon as he finished he turned around to face Liss and was stunned by her beauty. "W-wow Lissette, you look fantastic. Are you sure you want my grubby self sleeping next to you?"

Turning her head the horns on her head scraped hard against the wall behind her and she made a face practically saying "oh Jesus that's loud" Looking at him she sat up with her hair still in a bun and he complimented her. Looking down she loved all of the compliments he gave her. He was the only one to flatter her so much. "You look... Like a normal person." Running a finger of hers along her massive antlers she kept looking down. "I don't know how to look normal." Looking up at him she smiled. " You aren't grubby. You are very handsome." Liss was flicking the studs on her necklace as she looked back down and patted the right side of the bed. "I'd love to sleep next to your grubby self."

Marcus grinned, "as you wish, dear". Marcus walked over to his side of the bed and pulled the top cover back enough for him to slide under. He moved around a bit and fluffed his pillow trying to get comfortable next to Liss. The bed felt nice as it was soft and had a warm comforting feeling to it, or was that Liss? Marcus couldn't tell. Marcus laid in the bed next to Liss with his fingers laced, resting on his stomach outside of the blanket. Looking at Liss he said "You said I wasn't grubby, but then you called me grubby, haha what am I?" Marcus for the first time in a very long time had finally felt like he was where he belonged. There was peace in his mind, his body, and his soul. This was true happiness.

"The second time was to be silly! You aren't grubby! Hush!" Climbing under the covers Liss smiled and let her hand hold his as she slid in close to him. Her smile faded. "You are the only person to treat me this way. The only love that I have ever gotten was from my parents and even then it didn't seem like it was real... Like I let them down... I can say that.. I like this feeling towards you. I don't want it to go away, you know? It's like the snowflake Septi made for me... How Jessica wanted to take care of me... It's the way Boris made me feel like no one forgot me... But you combined all of these feelings and made me feel something I thought someone like me never would..." Looking up at him she spoke looking at him eye to eye. "I love you Marcus." Sitting next to him his warmth kept her small cold body happily pressed to his side.
