She frowned at his answer, Jessica slowly placed Septimius at the base of the tree and she kneeled in front him and 'looked' at him in the eyes with a serious expression. "You know it's pointless to try to hide something from me. Tell me... what's wrong? And I want the truth this time."

Dropping to her hands and knees quickly Liss looked at the tiny little Woolly bear caterpillar that seemed to be wiggling across the leaves at a furious pace. "Oooooo" Liss loved the wildlife and ran her finger along the incect and watched it curl up almost instantly. Giggling slightly she picked it up and looked at it almost going cross eyed from how small it was. "You shall be naaaaamed... Puff... Little Spikey Puff." Satisfied with its name she placed it by the tree and looked up at the blind woman trying to assist Septimius. She felt bad. Really bad. It's not like Gabe wanted to leave right? It could have been worse. He could have been stabbed through the chest by some stupid alien, but that'd be too silly. Liss sat at the roots of the trees her friends were in and hummed a soft song again to herself. She'd stay up as long as she could.

[Ninja'd by lots of people, multiple times. I don't even know how that happened]
"Hey Sept," Desmond looked to his friend but couldn't find the words to say anything or comfort. The fact is, family was a foreign word to him. Septimius lost a brother and Desmond lost his family before he could even know what it meant; what it mean for Septimius was completely lost on him and he decided to stay quiet and let Jessica handle it.
Ghan simply watched.
Brother seems upset, it said.
Must you call everyone here by a sibling title? Desmond asked irritably.
Marcus is your father, Ghan said.
Next you'll say is that Lissette is mother. Desmond rolled his eyes and sighed.

He looked at Jessica and then flinched when Desmond butted in. "I'm fine okay?" He grew panicked, "It's just that my head hurts and I just want to be left alone. Okay?" He felt the cold sweat that covered his forehead and he slid down the base of the tree, sitting down and resting his back. "I just need some sleep and rest... and I'll be fine... that's it. So please." He sighed and took another ragged breath. The pain in his head was making listening and thinking becoming harder, and his throat burned with thirst.

Sleeping in trees? Marcus was too large to fit up on these trees. He didn't really need sleep anyway. The angel decided to lay against the tree that his friends were sleeping in. He could hear Liss playing with something. Knowing her it was probably some sort of wildlife. The angel looked into the horizon angel gains tells the sun was setting. It gave the man a calming feeling all across his body. He would just close his eyes for a minute so he could relish this moment. It wasn't long before he let himself fall asleep..

She frowned at his response, she placed her hand on his forehead and simply said "Good night then..." she then stood up and sat next to Desmond. She sighed deeply and she didn't say anything for a few minutes... tho as time kept passing she felt the urge to talk to the stitcher, it gave her a really good feeling. "You know... back there when you helped me charge my sword... you uh... kinda remimded me of my brother." She smiled slightly as she continued "It may sound confusing for you but, I had a similar synergy with him back then..."

"Brother?" Desmond asked as he waved goodbye to Septimius. "How? I just found a way to fight back."
Ghan was hung on the tree with on hand - the claw - as he watched the ground below.

She giggled, "Yeah... I don't really know it just... feels different with you for some reason". She did a small pause before asking "Do you know what is it like to have a brother?..." she asked.

Desmond furrowed his brows and shook his head. "Never."
The stitcher shifted uneasily and sighed.

"He also didn't talk much..." she smiled at him. Jessica felt like telling him her own story before he felt comfortable to tell his. She started telling him how she had a peaceful life with her family, her relationship with her brother was actually good and everything seemed to work out for her, the day after she received her sword... everything went to hell, someone had killed her parents in cold blood and when she discovered that the murderer was her own brother... and how just when her broher snaped out of whatever was forcing him to do what he did, Jessica couldn't stop her attack and ended up killing him.
That happened when she was 15, now she's 22. She managed to survive by herself, tho the pain in her heart never left her, nightmares haunted her dreams every night... and then she met everyone else. She found out that apparently a demon was behind all of it... "Then I met Gabriel... he gave me hopes, a reason to keep fighting. But now... he's also gone, this demon is just taking away from me everything I love. I won't rest until he's dead... and I hope I can find Gabriel alive" she then said to Desmond "Sorry if I made you all bored or sad with my story I just... felt like telling you that. And you?... where do you come from?"

Desmond looked down to the ground as Jessica spoke of her past. He listened to every detail and nodded in between stories.
"No, not at all," Desmond said. "I enjoy stories."
The stitcher rested his back onto the tree when Jessica asked for his. It only seemed fair to share his own but what was there to give?
"I don't have family and I don't really know where I came from, probably Ravenholt but I was very little when Creese took me in and..."
Desmond proceeded to talk about how he never knew any of his family. His master immediately brought him to a level of slave and assistant, never showing a bit of fatherhood to the little boy. The stitcher would go through grave digging, assisting in murder and stitching and numerous others that a child would have done only when he reached a certain age.
"A family is such a foreign word to me, Jessica," He told her. "I know not the warmth a family brings. I try to grasp it in stories that I read but in order to feel you must know. That home in Ravenholt, is no home, its just a place memory calls my past. I am an orphan in all definitions."

Her expresion was of sadness, he never had someone there for him. "I'm so sorry to hear that... we both don't have a place to call home at the moment tho. I understand what you feel there..." she turned to him and said "We're all a family here tho, I know I can trust you with my own life..." she did a small pause and then she hug Desmond, but this was a different kind of hug, it was slower, tightier... and Jessica remembered giving the exact same hug to her brother once "I can... be your older sister y'know?" She said while she was still huging the stitcher.

The hug tightened as Desmond sat still. He didn't know what to do again.
Sister confirmed, Ghan said. Now hug.
Desmond could see Ghan on the tree staring at him with an arm and both legs dangling but this time, Desmond didn't have a rebuttal. He simply wrapped his arms around Jessica and said thank you, a whisper but enough for her to hear.
It was his first hug, it felt weird.

Jessica let him go. She then said "You can sleep if you want, I'll be watching and make sure that everyone is safe" she rubed his hair with her hand, "Tho if you're not sleepy we can a little bit" Jessica offered to the stitcher.

"I need to get some sleep," Desmond said honestly. "I've been up all night back in Ravenholt tinkering."
Desmond smiled at Jessica. "Thanks again, sis. Get some sleep soon." He then crossed his arms and closed his eyes. The stitcher drifted off to dreamland, a bit more peacefully than usual.
