Now with that said, can you imagine how fucking hilarious it would be to see that hospital? Emergency room just PACKED with people in fursuits?

"What the hell happened?
"We had an outbreak"
"Oh my god! Of what?!"
"Rabies..."

For whatever reason the majority of people have deemed furries more alien/strange than say BDSM or w/e. Maybe because those things tend to stay in the bedroom, it's not often I see a guy in the street wearing a buttplug tail or a gimp mask.

A majority of the times, those are Ravers, not Furries.

You know Azure now that I think about it, it's not a stretch to assume that PETA would have done it. I don't know why you would take my joke so goddam seriously if Miniman is allowed to imply that certain kinds of Furries deserve to die and he doesn't get anything but passing commentary on it. If it's not PETA them then probably a minor chapter of the same vision. However, my sociopath theory is still more feasible than a terrorist-ish plot. Still, it doesn't mean that the chance isn't there.

But I refuted Miniman's joke as well.... That aside, why would PETA attack Furries? I mean, I know about the Tanuki Suit incident, but people who like anthropomorphic animals with the ones dressed up in synthetic fur suits? Hell, tails tend to be made out of brushed out yarn. If anything, I'd think PETA would be for furries.

PETA was essentially in an uproar over Mario (yes, Mario from Super Mario Bros) having the Tanuki Suit, saying that it was wrong for him to wear the skin of an animal just for a few special abilities. This was ignoring the fact that he got the Tanuki Suit via a magical leaf. On their site, they even have a game where a skinned Tanuki chases after Mario, who is wearing a bloodied suit (something he has never done) and running around like a maniac, so it can reclaim its ill-gotten skin.

They've also attacked Cooking Mama, Super Meat Boy, Pokemon, and I believe one other major franchise, but I honestly just find PETA overall to be a joke that only exists because people keep talking about them, since they utilize sex and essentially drop human (mostly female) rights in order to push their ideals.

Well it's nice to know that none of PETA is actually Japanese, whereby if they were they totally would not have such a culturally disconcerting viewpoint.

And your commentary has just bolstered my point: if PETA really did do this, they would be all in your face about it and admit that they were responsible somewhat. And if not, they would pretend not to know anything about it but comment on it anyway. Like eco-terrorists. But that's not the case here. I'm just wondering on the fact that spreading chlorine on the stairwell and even at that amount would require at least 2 people. It's a 2-man job and at worst a group responsible.

Hold on, PETA? I think that'd be a stretch of an accusation. Aren't some furries super vegan animal lovers?

I have the strangest feeling that, whoever did it, would support most decisions by Westboro.

Nah, those fags are all bark and no bite. They wouldn't have the know-how or balls to fashion any sort of "bomb" even one as crude as this.

Damn, this is pretty fucked up
Of course it's not alright to do this to people, no matter how much you don't like them or their weird ass fetishes

They don't have ass fetishes. They have fur fetishes. Come on, people, only comment if you're properly informed about the topic!

Now, putting on my properly-informed-moral-philosopher hat for a moment: Gassing innocent people is a Quite Bad Thing.

Haters are gonna hate is all I can say. I mean there are people who just hate things just to hate them, there's those who have reasons to hate things, and then there's those who have "reasons." I mean I see this no different from those who are homophobic and such. Do I think it's fair? No, but when has anything in this world been fair? It's a world of two knights clashing, one always trying to gain the upper hand of the other. Fairness holds no water in this world, it seems like it should, it would make sense if it did, but it's a bowl made of paper, that would soon cave in because facts and logic aren't what makes decisions, it's emotions and opinions.

I think you're missing the point.

The difference is that Westboro hasn't tried to kill a few hundred people with poison gas. This isn't a matter of fair and unfair. This is a matter of right and wrong, and the overwhelming majority of people do not feel that this is acceptable in any way. Yes, haters will hate, but the problem isn't that there are haters. The issue, which you seem to be downplaying, is that these haters have committed a crime. As much as I hate Westboro, they haven't done anything but exercise their freedom of speech. Attempted murder is not an expression of free speech, which is why we aren't downplaying the issue.
