So guys i was thinking that maybe some people here on stickpage joined because of fame. For instance they don't have that longing for animation, they just wanna be known. What are your thoughts on this?

If you came to a stickman animation site for fame then you're an utter div.

I figure yes, it's the best reason for someone to quit animation if it's not working out for them and they usually don't put a lot of effort into improving.

I myself don't see any of those type of people in this forum, lol well maybe at least not yet since I am new ; But it's impossible to become "famous" without doing HQ animations and anyone that tries to hide their personality would not do so well, it slips out eventaully

I feel like there may be a "Look at me!" element with some of the people here, but fame would be a misguided reason for joining. I'd give you improvement or showcasing your skill, but I don't think outright fame.

For the most part, I see that as something that just happens as a result of all the hard word and time that goes into what they're doing, even if the fame itself is relatively clique.

ya your right, but i think that there might be people who want to be looked at without even putting in hard work and effort - kinda repeating waht u said tho

If by fame we're talking unwarranted recognition, then yeah I suppose a few people do get that, although I'm not sure I would say that was the initial reason for them coming here. But if by fame we mean like terkoiz, millions of views on an animation fame then idk if anyone comes here thinking they can get that right off the bat

Being famous in this place (as an animator) is easy. All you really need to do is make that one passably-adequate animation that lasts for 30 seconds tops. This anim shoudl NOT be a test and could even be a demo as long as it was done properly.

Then from that moment onward, nobody will doubt you again. Like they'll think you're an awesome animator with "an anim under his belt".

There might be some who think they can get it right off the bat tho cuz sometimes wen I watch resh's anims on utube....u have tons of saying that they want to get into aanimating and how they can sign up on stickpage....... tho some of them might have the desire of animating

I think that might just be resh inspiring people to animate because they think what he does is cool and it has sparked a genuine interest

Definitely. 100% sure that there is at least 1 animator in stickpage (probably more) who is here for the fame and/or the money as Hewwit said.
