Let's just evaluate the two types of heavy music.

Not too keen on metal, but since I hate Dubstep to its core, metal wins through process of elimination.

I'd say both of them, since it's not like I particularly dislike one of them
I think I might be more keen on heavy metal, but I'm still up for both of them :\

I listen to both, so I can't pick between the two.

If you had said Symphonic Metal, then it'd be an entirely different story.

I agree with Azure, some areas within heavy metal are just brilliant whilst some are just too much.

And even though I like the occasional dial-up remix, metal wins for me.

Do you know what's the lemon in my lemonade? A lemon, and a lot of sugar. I would have to jump on that Azure and Kieran bandwagon, because even though metal has its areas, so does dubstep. I'm going with metal though, I have a lot more metal in my playlist than dubstep lol, that has to mean something I guess.

Dubstep for me, even though not all dubstep music is necessarily heavy. There is a variety of styles dubstep music can be written under, but I'd much rather prefer dubstep over heavy metal.
