"we understand that you worked hard on this animation, but really in the end, that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of criticism. sugarcoating cnc just because you think someone tried their hardest or did their best is actually doing that person a disservice because if you don't give them the facts, they'll never understand the mistakes they made and they'll never learn.
It's not a question of what specifically is wrong with your animation, because the majority of it is flawed, you're still a beginner, and as a beginner, you'd probably benefit the most from not overextending yourself and just focusing on the most basic of basics. There's not really much else to be said here because your basics are lacking and in obvious need of improvement, and as such, it would be futile to bring up small points that are incorrect since almost all of it is incorrect. At the end of the day, you can always do better, just practice and you'll get there

it was helpful, probably not phrased the way you'd like it, but the message behind it is very sound

Yeah I guess Your right. Im gonna go see if there are any good
Flash tutorials for beginners so maybe I can start using it. And I'll try to work on the explosion work. I think sifterpivoter gave me a link to a page on physics and stuff, but I don't know what thread its on.

Thx bae

Also Setto you should really just try doing some short, simple tests here and there. Focus on a single problem, a single aspect, and make a quick 50-100 frame animation just to brush up on it, really concentrating. It helps a fuck ton.

Try uping your frame count. I know I need to, and what i think they mean from "getting around animating" is like, wheres the story? SHOW us his strain as he cast those balls, SHOW us the time it took, the meticulous care of making red flashy orb thingys. I hope this helped ;D

No one gives a fuck if you worked hard on the animation btw, Cnc isn't going to be painted to not hurt your feelings.

You keep asking whats wrong with the animation, like you don't know. Pretty much everything. You're still a beginner. If you want to know whats wrong then go back and review your bare bone basics. There's not much we can really say or nitpick because everything is wrong and everything needs to be worked on and everything could be better. Basics.

Hey, you don't gotta be so rude about it. Yeah, he's a beginner. So what? Everybody starts somewhere. Even though his anims can use improvement, you can tell him that without being so negative. And Setto, what i do a lot is open a good stickfight by like terkoiz or hyun, and i open it in a video editor to look at it frame by frame. Try doing that and studying stuff about the anim, like the many different movements of not only the parts of the body being used but the parts not being used as well (ex. A guy punching, but you should see how he moves his legs as well) and if you try to replicate those movements in your anims, it'll help your movements look less stiff and more fluent. Also, you should try looking closely on how the effects are used in the anims as well. Overall i think it's not too bad for a pivot anim. Try to learn some of these tricks to help you out on our battle. Good luck! See mizu, that's how you treat a beginner. #constructivecriticism

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahaha, nice one, good joke.

But seriously, I understand where your coming from and Mizu does comes off as hsotile and/or as an asshole at times. But he means well and gives good critique, its just how he CnC's and he just doesn't like to sugar coat it.

Jesus mizu, people always argue about the way you critique.

I think he did a pretty good job. You can't improve someone by kissing their asses.

But hey, in Alpha and Setto's side, yeah, you could... Lighten up the attitude a bit? I don't know. If you want criticism, you should expect people who comment like mizu here. It's tough love, people. He just wants to see you get better. In... His own... Way...
