Eco advantage is irrelevant if the more aggressive opponent shuts down your economy.

Tower gives you 20 gold each 4 seconds. Miners take 12 seconds gathering + the walking distance which is around 3-4 seconds. Which means that the tower gives you extra 5 more gold than a miner through the whole process.

it is viable if you can have a good sense of timing in archer to keep that alive . I tried it on wyzdm 's chaos and it worked LOL
