How do you make things look like they're moving really fast, such as some guy throwing another guy into the air, I'd like it to happen instantly but in my scene it isn't obvious which direction the guy went.
No tutorial found for this.

Basically have the object in question leave the stage in 2 frames. You can also draw a scribbly effect to show movement or use the blur tool. If it's a matter of throwing, you can show the direction the object being thrown through the character throwing it if you want to.

I was looking for the blur tool today, Can't seem to find it :S. I have 1 frame showing the guy being thrown half way between the thrower and the top of the stage, but when I play the movie it just doesn't seem to look right. Where can I find the blur option? That might help

I can help you, but would it be too much to ask for you to upload screenshots of like 8 frames before and after the throw
or just extend your onion skin that much and screenshot that

Quote from JomboA really effective method I found by studying Terkoiz's Shock 2 was to put multiple images of the subject on the same frame. It's looks like you're seeing 3 seperate frames really fast and so the illusion works. I use it a lot on speedy things.
I also want to add that in animation there's a concept called squash and stretch that's really important in making your movements look fluid and nice (Google it). When your object is going really fast you just stretch everything out and draw them longer. If you apply it to your animation you might not even need blur. That's essentially what blur is supposed to do anyway.
I didn't think of that, thanks!

Yeah I see what you mean, I'll change it to an uppercut or something with a few followup attacks
