What will the scoring be based on?

I think it's probably based on what most other competitions are based on.
Quality
Story (in this case, movie accuracy)
Style
and how well you update your progress.
It might be different though, this is my guess.

lol scoring on how well you update your progress XD Sorry that's cute :P

Speaking of updating progress, I posted a neat screenshot of me making a very detailed box:

Check it out if you've ever wondered about drawing with vanishing points <3

Well, you see...
"A portion of the judging will also be based on your record of the progress of your animation project. Neat right?" Says that right before the list of competitors.

Woah... that's awesome. Also
@Azure i have 2 questions. One, you said double posting on your progress thread is ok as long as it's for updates. Does this count for bumping your post as well? And two, can i suggest that at some point in the future, there should be an entire section dedicated to progress threads such as these? Cuz I've noticed that due to this competition, the community projects section is literally flooded with progress threads. That could easily cause running collabs such as mine to become inactive because all everyone sees is the progress threads. This is just a suggestion, but i recommend the admins put a new section labeled "Competitive Progress" or something, and it should be dedicated to mass amounts of progress threads for competitions. This will keep collabs and other projects from being inactive while making it easy for people to check on the competition when they like.

In response to your questions:

1. I never actually said that you could double post, though I feel that if there is a significant update, then it is justified. In regards to bumping, the same rule applies. If it's significant enough, then yes, you may bump. However, don't make a habit of it.

2. If a competitive entry section were to be made, it would help to keep them all in a single area and not cancel out other such things. However, maintaining it would be an issue, as it would be useless outside of competitions which don't come around overly frequently (they're pretty seasonal), and it would be necessary to keep other people from posting in it pointlessly whilst the competition is open. If it were an opt-in section for posting like the Debate Section was, then it's possible it could be work out, but again, it's a bit much work. All that aside, I'm just a Sectional Moderator, and don't have any power in such matters. If you bring it up with stone, you'd get a better response.
