Awesome. It's just that the sketch you made looks more creepy than a smile >__> You got most of the face right but the eye you did wrong making it look like he's a serial killer >___>

In doing this, you failed to properly understand the planes of the face, the orientation of facial features, or the lighting within the photo. If you refuse to spend more time, begin with proper construction through geometric shapes and proceed from there, the result will always be lacking and flat.

Try harder.

More explanation, since I may have neglected in clarity.

Consider this image and see how the head is constructed as well as the planes on its surface. Look back at the photo and try to identify those planes. Afterwards consider the light source from where the lightest and darkest parts of the skin are. Keep in mind; the brightest areas are where the plane of the object faces most perpendicularly to the light source.
