Hello!

My name's Brendan (Beeper) - I am 21 years old and began animating when I was about 12-13. A lot of my experience was in pivot until I turned 15, and stopped animating entirely. I got to a point in pivot where I understood animation concepts and applied them quite well. I dabbled in flash at the time, and have done some action script 2.0 making (awfully done) games and testing out animation as well.

Late 2014 I began an animation project (a stickfight) that I am proud of. I anticipate being done in the next 4 months due to work and school, but I really want to take this to the next level. Because of that, I'm looking for anyone who's had more experience than myself to maybe Skype and hang out when I animate - maybe while they do the same. I'd really like some tips and pointers on how to go about what I'm working on, and it would be really nice to have some friends that animate and would be willing to skype and share what we have. It's nothing crazy but I'm sure it's decent for how long I've been away.

I also play a ton of Sc2, Hearthstone, and LOL - always willing to play with people!

I don't want to post the .swf of what I have here. That would just make me less inclined to finish it because it's been seen by more than a few people. If you're interested though, respond you're interested and I'll gladly PM you to show you where I'm at.

I'm confident in saying that I am well beyond the "beginner" phase of flash animation and applying these concepts, but there's still a lot I don't know, and a lot of ways I could work more efficiently I'm sure.

I look forward to meeting some really cool people!

Thanks!
Drone

b33p3r doesn't sound like a 21 year old's name.

Welcome though, show us some of your animations because you must be really good if you've been at it for so long.

Beeper was the name I used when I started animating when I was 12 or so. I'll PM you what I'm working on. The more I lurk around here, the worse I'm feeling about this animation though. A lot of talent on this forum.

Unfortunately, all of my prior flash animations were on Stick Figure Death Theater, which no longer exists. I do have a youtube video of my progress with Pivot, highlighting animations from when I was a beginner, all the way through when I started to become moderately better.

I'd argue that the animation I'm working on is much higher quality than any of this though.

I am also a pivot user. Been using pivot since late '07. Nice to see another one popping up, hopefully as good as I am!
