Quite the observation there, I wonder how it came to you. :P
During country reports a few years ago, someone brought in chicken feet and shark. Both were surprisingly not bad.

View Profile The strangest food I ever ate was one of my great aunts peach jams. Needless to say, it did NOT taste like peaches, it tasted like paper mixed with sour orange juice with a little bit of Okra mixed in... Yeah, did not taste good... >_<
If you're talking hot pepper though, I pretty tolerant of spicy food. My mom is pretty much been a hot sauce enthusiast ever since I was born. So I started having hot sauce at about 3 or 4 [the mildish stuff] and now I can handle alot of the spicy stuff. I once ate a habenaro [spelling?] pepper whole and didn't drink or eat anything else for abut an hour for a bet, I won me 5 dollars. ^_^
EDIT: My eyes were watering the whole time =P

That's kind of horrifying, actually. I feel sorry for you.

View Profile One time my dad got a habanero pepper and I was stupid enough to take a bite out of it.
I got a blister on my tongue and was in pain for quite some time -_-

View Profile The worst thing I ever ate was a hamburger that had been sitting out on the counter for several hours. At the time I wasn't thinking about what I was eating until I was half finished and realized there could be bad things forming on the meat. Thinking quickly, I grabbed a bottle of lemon juice (somehow I thought the acid would kill any bacteria that was on the burger) and swallowed two big gulps. After a gagging fit, I layed down to sleep but couldn't due to my horrible stomach ache.
The next morning I was fine.

View Profile I wanted to put some mayonaise on my burger, because it tastes reel good when you mix mayonaise, ketchup, and mustard together, and I got some mayonaise.
And I put it on. And it tasted like shit. Thinking quickly I grabbed the bottle and checked the label. Oh. nothing wrong there, it was only expired by a year.
Needless to say I didn't finish eating.

View Profile Salsa made from Caribbean Red Peppers, which are, on average, twice as hot as habaneros. Burned like hell.
My cousin ate a pepper raw, not knowing what it was. Her mouth blistered.

View Profile Back in the old days I remember someone saying he swallowed dog semen.
It wasn't me.
The strangest thing I ever ate was a blended morning meal. DON'T ****ing try it!
Bad things happen to people when you blend milk, cereal, coffee and a sandwich with cheese.
