Just to clarify, this is my first time hosting an RP. Mistakes are going to be made, so I might need some help. The thread will be edited in case something is left out.

Introduction:
You feel a soft hit of the sun's rays beaming on your face, bright enough to shine through your eyelids. The feeling of its heat is welcoming, but blinding as it slowly bakes your skin without a shade to accompany you. Annoyed, you slightly pry open your eyes to the shining sun in the light blue sky and the sounds of hooves clopping on the dry dirt. Clouds have been replaced with iron bars enchanted with small runes engraved into the metal. You're unable to move as your body contains little to no energy to function any part of your limbs. You still feel tired. Tired to move. Tired to see. As a dark silhouette blankets the sky, the warming rays were blotted out from your sight and entered into a realm of stone, steel, and lumber. The clopping hooves of the beast were gradually drowned out to waves of noises echoing through the halls; there were cheering, screaming, sounds of metal clanging in the far distance. Your lids felt heavy and fall to unconsciousness without realizing. The noise still rings in your ear before it fades into the darkness. What felt like an eternity, your lids spread apart instantly as the stone ceiling was the first thing you see. You're lying on a poor excuse of a bed made of rusted steel, worn mattress, and thin sheets as comforters. The pillow wreaks of sweat stains as if someone forgot to wash this months ago. With enough energy, you're able to lift your body as your eyes examine the scenery; you're in a small, dark, cold stone room with little features to behold. There appears to be a sink and toilet, and a wooden door with a small window to peer through. It smells of mold and isolation, and the very stench tickles your nose with even the smallest whiff of the air. You take your first steps off the uncomfortable furniture and step towards the door. You tried turning the knob, but wouldn't budge. The small window opened to two red, glowing eyes of an uncertain humanoid as it locked contact to you. His voice is deep and trembling, enough to feel the bass within your heart after every word muttered through his mouth.
“Ah... it's about time you're up,” said the creature.
“Time? Where am I?” You asked curiously, uncertain to the dilemma you're in.
The beast laughed sincerely at your question, as if he heard it over a million times before.
“There's no need to fret, fresh meat.” He glared his red eyes on you as he continued.
“You're now property of the Tower of Blades.”

Welcome to the
Tower of Blades, a colossal stone-and-steel structure that serves as a city-state for noncombatants and as the greatest gladiatorial attraction across the
world of Aedar. You woke up within this tower with no memory of how you got here, and you've been chosen to fight for honor, glory, fame, and fortune. You choose whether you can fight through the tiers and earn your place among the
Champions of the Tower, or find your way out of this hellhole and achieve sweet, sweet freedom... but you need strong allies first.
All guards within the tower are powerful Minotaurs; they keep the tower in check for any disturbances and keep peace within the arena. These humanoid beasts will tear you asunder if you go against them or their master's orders.
Tiers:
There are three tier sets; low-rank, medium-rank, high-rank. The Elite-rank is only for the Champions and maintenance. Each tier claims three rings of the tower, excluding the Elite-rank. To advance to the next tier, you must fight and defeat six opponents in their designated tier (2 opponents in each ring, one "boss" in the last ring). You can visit previous tiers once you're high enough to spectate the fights from the gallery.
Low-Rank Tier: This tier is for beginners and new recruits. Fighters in this section are dubbed “fresh meat,” and are treated with poor quality. Every champion starts somewhere. The major difference is that one ring is buried beneath the earth while the other two rings are above ground. The buried ring is where all new fighters are stored and fight for the first time.
Medium-Rank Tier: This tier is for fighters that have fought their way out of the Low-Rank Tier. This tier hold a few different set of rules than the previous and can put the fighters on edge. Literally. The fighters earn better quality than the tier prior and are free to roam around, but are kept in special collars in case if one attempts to escape. If so, the collar detonated and instantly kills the fighter. This tier has a town built outside for trade goods and services.
High-Rank Tier: This tier is for experienced gladiators that fought through Medium-Rank. This tier commonly uses gimmicks to keep the action more exciting and thrilling. A time limit has been implemented to time the match. If time runs out, both fighters die. This tier contains higher quality than the last, along with luxurious rooms, better service, and greater equipment. A life of luxury, it is. Like the Medium-Rank, it has a town built outside, but feels like you're in a beautiful hotel; pool, games, etc. You are allowed to watch previous fights from many years ago.
Elite-Rank Tier: This is the only tier that contains only two rings, one ring houses the 7 Reigning Champions. There's no arena to fight, but the champions earn the best services money can buy. It serves as a private quarter for champions; anyone that trespasses into this tier will be forced to fight one of the champions. The last ring, which is the very top of the tower, is where the leader is being held at and his subordinates that hosts and control the arenas below.
The Seven Reigning Champions of the Tower:
The champions of the Tower of Blades that fought their way through the ranks to get where they are now. Since then, they were left undefeated for many years, no matter how difficult the challengers, they will fight for their title. As champions, they're also the leader's prized moderators of the tower; if anything goes awry, they step down and investigate. They're the special forces in this city-state. To earn a spot among the champions, you must be in the High-Rank Tier and challenge one of them to a fight. You can't spare your opponent in this and forfeiting the match is out of the question; you must kill to win.
Draymond the Impossible – the “leader” of the group and the most feared champion within the Tower of Blades. A human warrior equipped with two large spinning yo-yo/shuriken blades. They're attached to the cords latched onto his belt and, like a yo-yo, it can extend to far reaches and can be used as lethal flails. He has striking red hair and light blue eyes, wears a black velvet cape and hood, special chitin armor, leather gloves, and leather-padded black leggings.
Project ONZUH or Onzuh (humanoid robot) – the only cyborg within the group and the only mute champion. Onzuh may look like a life-size doll, but within that porcelain shell is a relentless killing machine. If it generates a creepy smile, you're screwed. It has the appearance of a androgynous human with gray eyes, and is completely bald. It's attire changes between male and female clothing each day.
Amirah Al'Zahra – the only champion that speaks an entirely different language other than Common. Although she can understand it, she can't speak it herself. Known for being one of the most notorious terrorists, she has the ability to manipulate the earth around her; sand, gravel, dirt, stone, mud, etc. Her destructive use of this element was enough to call her the most powerful earth-bender on the planet. She has dark skin, green eyes, and her body is covered in bandages and cloth from head to toe, resembling much to a desert nomad. Strands of her black wavy hair tend to stick out of the layers. Her face is also covered to hide much of her physical identity.
Faezira the Firestarter – Faezira is a halfling that has discovered a powerful relic that can transform her into an Ethereal, an elemental being of pure energy. She was exiled from her village after her gluttonous usage of the relic that soon warp inside her; the relic has caused her to abuse its power by siphoning magic from other magic users for her own greed. She can now transition from her current halfling form to Ethereal form, but it's only temporary; yet her abilities are powerful. She has dark brown hair with one half shaved, brown eyes, and a small nose ring. Since her normal clothing couldn't withstand her Ethereal form's intense radiation and chaotic energy, she dressed herself in rare elementium armor that can stabilize her power and enhance her strength and agility.
Mhesenne Tricha – Mhesenne is one of those people that's lucky enough to be on top. This half-elf is equipped with a quiver of elemental arrows and her archery and keen eye is the most top-notch in her career. Her agility is off the charts and is one opponent that can never break her focus when in combat. Her hair is light blonde and it reaches down to her neck, and light blue eyes. A deep scar is seen diagonally across her face. She wears a pine-green cloak with golden lining around the edges. Dark leather armor with a single iron pauldron on her left shoulder, a belt with a dagger and scabbard on her side, and a pendant of white feathers and a severed orc finger in the middle.
Marx Photon – this human was known for his history of being a pirate member of the infamous Nightwind Crew. He has a robotic right eye that can analyze his opponent's stats, and a large silverfish/centipede-like venomous insect that can morph into any weapon of his choosing. He has blonde hair covered with a blue bandana, black and white-striped shirt and a long, shredded sleeveless navy-blue vest. Belt buckles strapped across his chest containing pouches of items. Dark leather-padded leggings and knee-high boots.
Nix – Nix was once a different race years ago before he discovered the arts of Shape-shifting. His new-found power has later twisted his mind, made him lose his physical and mental identity and memory on the long run. He now shifts into different races each day to show his prowess and might.

Rules:
Any action in your posts should not include the outcome of your action, unless it is very simple and non-combat related. For example:
"I jumped to my ally and cut the monster's head off!" should instead be "I jumped to my ally and attempted to cut the monster's head off!"
But "I said picked up the jar and sat it back down" would be fine since it's not combat related.
Don't make actions for other players without their consent. Don't try and make yourself the main star of the story, it's not just about you.
Don't be a jerk. Dickish actions will be considered rule breaking and I will warn you before hand. If you continue your obnoxious actions then you will be removed and your character will be brutally murdered.
A player will be selected to fight in the arena while the other players will be spectating from the stands. The fighting player will choose either to let the opponent live or die, but be careful on who you choose to live or die. Some of these opponents may play a vital part in this RP.
You can forfeit the match, but you won't be able to advance up the tower, you will also lose credibility and increase the chance of being demoted a tier/ring if done too often.
Sparing your opponent won't advance you to the next ring. The opponent must die in order to escalate up the Tower.
There are weapons that will be displayed upon the walls of the arena. You can use these weapons as an option in fighting your combatant, or you can use the weapon you're equipped with.
Write
“Fight. Kill. Salute.” with your character profile post as a response in understanding the rules.
