On entering T7, I got the walker legs and I am excited.

redesigned my bot a bit for the t10 plates i finally unlocked. it still isn't perfect... i'm looking forward to having other t10 plates to work with in the near future, but for now, i'm happy with this.

it can hit 250mph pretty easily, and is hella maneuverable.

my main issues with it are that it can flip, or even try to take off, without careful management of speed, and it's a fair bit more fragile than it looks. i've tried using a rudder but it had too much impact on my steering at these speeds. so, i'll just stick with hit and run tactics, i've got the mobility for it. it's also in dire need of some armor to protect the back part of it, but i can add to that over time if i gain a couple levels. front section's also vulnerable to air attacks.

it would be nice to have more cannons, also, but i just haven't got the flops for that.

Flipping happens sometimes when you have thruster designs, even my best machine can flip if I don't control it properly. On the plus side though, a lot of players don't realize thruster builds sacrifice some toughness, so you can play that up. As for the flipping have you considered maybe ditching one of the front blades and adding a couple rudders to the design? Even then I only know about thruster designs from my walker hybrid. So that's all the perspective I have, a full blown thruster is a bit beyond me.

I like it, good design sensibilities.
The electro plates are covering the main body and the optimal six guns don't impede each other.

But seeing as how you'll be slow because you're restricted to the walker legs speed. I have a couple recommendations.
Make sure your cockpit is really protected by electro shields, because of rail cannon users and you should consider radar jammers for enhanced ambush tactics since you'll naturally lack the resilience of equally gunned tanks or cruisers.

My t10 bandersnatch from earlier pages has 3 radar jammers and thrusters to ameliorate the mobility issues and emphasize ambush tactics.

Been awhile since I posted pics of the Swag Van. It has since gone through some major upgrades:

Thoughts on ways I can upgrade it? I can already hold my own pretty well in T7.

Do you have an eject system put in place yet? That would help.
Also, triforcing. Not that I know how to do it.

yeah i have tried rudders but they make steering too difficult at high speeds and i'd still flip once in a while anyway so i ditched them.

i can still actually get around quite well while i'm upside down, usually i just try and steer my way back to base then heal up while i realign. shit's just annoying

looks classy man, i like how you've used those t5 plates. having said that though, you should really upgrade your plates if you're in t7. t4 and t5 plates aren't going to resist anywhere near enough damage; you'd probably actually be better off replacing them with armor. or, like i said, upgrading to higher tier plates.

spaced armor or triforced armor would also benefit you greatly if you haven't done it already. that way you'd be lighter, less of a brick, and have smarter armor that peels off instead of having chunks blown in it. look into it! there's some good guides on steam community if you shift tab in game.

Yeah triforcing is super useful.

The ejector seat not so much, it can ruin the integrity of tough machines.

I've looked up triforced armor before but hot damn that sounds really complicated lol. Does it really improve your durability that much? If so I'll have to look into it.

Yeah it really does, especially against smg's.

Just don't excessively triforce, as your bot will lose integrity. The square cubes have more connector points.

Triforce really just spreads damage to places that you're fine with losing, like outer armor.
On another note, someone in t5 built an airplane almost entirely out of lights. It was an interceptor and he said it worked really well against rail cannons; they could't see anything.

Triforcing also helps prevent attacks from blasting through your armor. Certain cubes at certain angles wont transfer damage backwards depending on how you layer them.

This is extremely useful.

What, triforcing or the headlight plane? :P

By the way, the curves update just came up. Do the curves support triforcing?

Just looked at the robocraft forums, everyone's building penii (plural for... genital region).

here's a good guide on triforcing and spaced armor

you can google for more info

only problem is they cost 25 cpu each for some reason

Yeah, that's true. I usually just place lights to fill up cpu. I lost a lot of money selling lights. :(
They're actually pretty good against Rail tanks though, as a rail user myself it is very annoying for a row of lights to show up, and missing every time I shoot.

I have scrapped the T7 Swag Van and out of it's ashes the T7 Bulwark has arisen.\
The T7 Bulwark (Click to Show)

I triforced some of the armor around my cockpit and updated my electro plates. This thing takes more than just a few people shooting it at once to bring down and if I get a medic on me I'm essentially invincible. Noted weaknesses include lack of real firepower and lack of speed.
