Some chest aren't meant to be simply opened. I'll #loot the corpse (and #equip the gear) first and then #throw it out of the room (if possible, else i'm switching to #duelist stance). The fact that the dude died while sitting on the chest discards the possibility of a “mimic box”, so the subject was either stuck on the room until death or is guarding the box as an undead (this is the reason i'm throwing it out of the room, so you will be able to jump on it if needed).
Once every other action is done, I'll #open the chest.
Edit: No wait, i'll #flip the coin beforehand, if it's #head the chest isn't a trap that locks me in, if #tails i'll retract my choice and not interact with the box in anyway.
I am so confused, I'm going to have to ask you to keep your requests simpler.

Sorry if I misunderstood what you meant, I didn't realize you were trying to loot the chest. The chest itself is unlocked and can be opened.
Please state clearly what you intend to do next.
Do you want to loot the body, or the chest, or pull the lever?
