Never heard of any of these guys, but I like it. I like it very much. Now all I need is a pair of Beats By Dre and a blunt and I'm pretty sure that's what makes you a famous rapper. That's how 2 chains did it right?
"She has a big booty, so I called her big booty" Cant REALLY be considered rap right?

this song is my favorite by Muse and the mathematical approach they took to writing it is really interesting, I'll try to explain it in a way that doesn't require theory knowledge to understand.
Listen to the synth arpeggio in the intro. Notice how every 3 beats the chord changes? The first chord is a D major, the 3 notes oscillating back and forth in the very beginning are D, F# and A. Then after 3 beats, the A moves a semitone up to A#, turning D major into D augmented.
This sequence is repeated - the first four measures of the song go D major - D augmented - D major - D augmented. Just the first 5 seconds here. With me so far? Cool.
On measure 5, D major is repeated, but instead of going back to D augmented for the 6th measure, both the A AND F# move up a semitone. The three notes being played are now D, G and A#. This is a G minor chord. These two chords are repeated once again, creating the following 8-measure pattern:
D Maj -> D aug -> D Maj -> D aug -> D maj -> G min -> D maj -> G min
At :22 the sequence changes keys and starts to move upwards. The Bb in G minor is raised a semitone to B, and the three notes being played are now D, G and B, which is G major. We're back on a major chord (the 4th degree of D major), and the 8 measure sequence repeats itself from here. Measure 2: the D moves up a semitone to D#, and G major becomes G augmented. Repeat twice. Once it gets to measure 6, the B moves up a semitone as well, and the three notes being played are now D#, G and C. Otherwise known as C minor. The sequence repeats yet again when the D# gets raised a semitone to E, creating C major. Which is the 4th degree of G major. The next sequence begins with F major, the 4th degree of C major. This pattern continues a total of 13 times.
So the entire song moves upwards chromatically one note at a time and changes keys 13 times by the time it gets to 1:40 (and somehow Bellamy came up with a very natural sounding melody to sing over this mess of chromaticism), where the song stays in the key of F for a while. It switches itself up for a while until the guitar comes in, after which the song follows the same sequence as above and changes keys another 6 times.
The result is a song with no verses, no chorus, no bridges, just 3 distinct sections with a mathematical musical structure that slowly inches itself higher and higher, somehow changing keys almost 20 times without sounding unnatural. The entire song is just one 5 minute build-up to that massive final chord. I get shivers every single time I hear it.
if you guys want me to comment on a song in terms of the music theory behind it, feel free to make suggestions.
I love migos for the same reason i like lil b & chief keef.
I'm gonna be honest and tell you that I fuck with that song "Wishy Washy". They broke from their usual subject matter and put their skills to great use, with storytelling elements in the first verse too which is always nice. Also shouting out "Mama" never gets old.
Now Lil B is actual satire. He's funny as shit but he's making fun of hip hop. And Chief Keef is a completely different animal, being in his own subgenre and all, but yeah I see what you're saying.
I recently found out about this band called "Wand", and I think they're pretty amazing.
They quickly became one of my go-to bands for noisy, experimental, hardcore Psychedelic Rock bands.
I think fans of bands like tame impala would like this.
Can anyone can give me a suggestion? I'm looking for an instrumental song (or one with lyrics I'll use the instrumental version anyways) so I can use it to animate a gift for my mom for the mother's day. I'm planning on make it a more funny-themed animation but I can't find a good music to play in the background. It can be from a game or an anime whatever, I just need something to play in the background and the ones I've heard aren't what I'm looking for.
