this is an absolutely stunning little japanese 80s cassette about the ocean, featuring keiichi suzuki (mother 2 soundtrack composer.) i want to own it so, so bad. it's one of those mysterious gems that keep me interested in the endless hunt for more
So I've been playing Ratatat's Magnifique album on repeat for like the past week or so. Definitely one of my favorite releases this year. You gotta love those guys.
Huge fan of Abrasive, unarguably my favorite release on the album, although the whole thing is consistently great.
Hell, I'm even digging the intro to the entire album. The whole album's definitely worth a listen.
I can't believe that at one point I used to dislike hip hop. If it weren't for that fateful day, when I heard Nujabes playing on PLasmaghost's stream, I would still have the same shitty opinion.
this is ridiculously good, fuck anyone who thinks otherwise.
"We cannot preserve the normal music."
It's nonsense, not music. Being edgy doesn't make you musically inclined or really cool and creative. Being edgy and making it sound normal is being creative and musically inclined. It's the same thing shitty mathrock bands who just wail on their guitars with no pattern or real purpose. If you can make a time signature that's 17/8 sound no more out of place than an old 4/4 time signature, you're creative. Being creative isn't just about being an asshole.
