OOC: Actually, it sort of IS your job to pre-screen characters. You did it diligently when it came to correcting all our attributes. As a DM, you are the director of this movie, and you're the only one who got to see all the characters, and youre the one who decides which character is ok, and you've got to make sure that really good RPing and storylines DON'T get fucked by one guy. I'm honestly pretty fucking upset that we're not going to get to do a lot of the political and spy missions now and make Markose the mayor. Because even STORY-wise it makes no sense. Are we to assume that Markose and Peter hired a guy like Mick without doing any check on him whatsoever?

I just thought we had a great thing going with the planning, and Devour's amazing seductions, and Arch's plan to bust out of the trash can, and Jy bustin boxes and Calvin shaping into a truly conflicted character... and all that means nothing cause one guy who was out of our control did this stuff. I wouldn't mind if we got fucked due to mistakes we made, but ONE GUY repeatedly made mistakes totally beyond our reach and now we're playing some hide and seek game instead of a political game of manipulation, thieving and deceit. This really is the best RP I've played in a while so all this stuff seems additionally bullshitty.


Anyway you guys go ahead and decide what the next move should be. I'll join in if I think of something. I'm guessing we have a lot of time to plan and think and post anyway.

Yeah, last night I was talking about the campaign with a couple friends over some drinks and they said that I should've been much harder with the screening process.

That said though, half of your characters wouldn't of had made it into the game either.

OOC: But the whole point of us pming them and not posting them on the thread is so that we don't know what the others are doing so we don't mend our characters to fit the loose spaces. So if he did try to make us alter our characters then he'd be breaking his own rule. I feel like that screening process would kick the pervert and street rat.

Then we would have changed it to make it a better game. Also I think there is a pretty fucking HUGE difference between what our characters have done so far, and what he has done.

So unless half the characters in this game have played completely against their own character, he is one particularly bad character who slipped in through the cracks.


And I would like to note one thing:

If screening process is our job, then as a DM you can atleast make sure that when the OTHER characters who took the time to plan out their strategy, create three-dimensional characters, have an actual action plan etc would not be affected by the guys going in Kamikaze. Right now what has happened is, we have 5-6 great players really ENJOYED this a lot and I think we did a pretty good job of it, and everything is ruined because of one guy making constant mistakes.

I'll help you guys out. Just get through this challenge.

IC: Jy put his phone down, he was paying attention to Peter's voice as they were talking and he heard something uncertain in the man's voice. Peter was trying to work out how to clean this up the best he could, and eliminating them wasn't out of his mind yet. He dialed Veeran and placed the phone to his ear, "Hey Veeran... Peter fired us." He licked his lips as he continued, "He wants us to clean up the mess then return back to him. Problem is that I heard something... wrong in his voice. He says he's going to get us tickets out of here, but he might kill us instead. It seems like he hasn't decided yet."

OOC: I did a perception check and Cook verified this

OOC: What was your perception check for, and what did Cook verify? How high is your perception score?

In the van, CT was still trying to process what all was happening. "Ok, ok, I just need to calm down. Things could be worse. We have Adrian, we've got a plan to get through things. I just gotta cool my head a bit." He thinks about things, and realizes that nobody else had come to the van. He'd been there a considerable time. Something else must've gone wrong. Was it that reinforcements had arrived? Did it have something to do with Mick? He connects to Veeran.

"Hey, what's going on out there? I've been in the van at least ten minutes now, and I've heard nothing from anybody. Did something else go wrong?"

OOC: You guys are gonna have to RP without me for a while, I'm going to sleep now and I will be back when I get over the fact that everyone's beautiful RPing and character creations was raped by ONE character outside our control) (Yes I'm harping on about it because I'm high). I'll feel better when I wake up and shall let you know Veeran's reponse. Later.

OOC: I've considered adding more traits to my character that wouldn't much change how he's been portrayed so far, but would to an extent help boost how he's been seen as a character so far. Of course, I know it's not really possible to add or remove things since the game's started, but this is of course if we have to go through a reboot because we lose.

I'm assuming that you guys went with Nish's text to take Mick to a restaurant for the trade, and that Adrian hasn't been tortured yet.
