Hey guys!
i want to tell you how i do animate my animation
I just use the line tool to make my stickman
But i don't redo my stickman in each frame
i took 6 layers for each part (one for head, two for legs, arms and one for the body) and i assemble them in one folder
at each frame i just move my stickman like in Pivot but sometimes i feel it's too hard to do each layer for each frame
i do use tweening mode for some movement but i know now why it's look not natural. i had to anticipate the movement first (easing) so i do frame for starting the movement and then i tween.

I really would like to use Brush tool but i have a mouse and i had to remake my stickman like over 100 times to it look better in each frame >_<
look it for yourself go to 0:28

the stick are weird yeah ? ._.

Oh yeah sometimes idk why but with 10 frames i can do a really smooth move (i love my little anim :3 ) :

And sometimes it's just crappy (like a basic run)
Is it me or my Run is crappy :/ ? (Cnc pls)
[SWF=http://orig14.deviantart.net/8765/f/2015/094/0/5/run_test_by_eclair1997-d8odo1i.swf]Height=300 Width=500[/SWF]

i just saw so much tutorial (Hyun, KidK3, oxob3000, and others one) but i see i'm not advanced enough to make a nice anim T-T (i would like to have the same level as Ipman or Hanif)
is it better to make the all body of the stick in one frame with line or i keep doing with my style with he layers ?

Thanks for yours tips :3

If you're completely redrawing the figure every frame, then you should try to keep things simple with as few layers as possible to prevent clutter. Whenever I animate with the line tool I typically only draw limbs that overlap other limbs on different layers, and even still you might only have to do that when you're easing. If you're completely redrawing each frame you only need one layer with the line tool.

As far as getting better with animating, it comes with practice. Start simple and master the basics. Movements truly take time to perfect, and eventually you will start to develop your own style for animating them. Walking, running, jumping, etc are all great ways to practice movements and easing, especially when you tie them all into one animation.

Here is my tips.
First off, use rulers.. You can find them by right clicking then "ruler"
If you want to animate with brush but mouse doesnt let you then use Pen tool. It smoothens out everything better and it helps with wobblyness.
If you are using line tool, A simple thing to do is use outline on the layer you are using to get more precise lines.
About how to animate it all depends on what you find more confortable.
You could try doing limb by limb, Head first, Placing the head then drawing the body each frame, or all the body at the same time.
Personally i find myself placing the head then drawing the torso and legs. then i move on to the arms. But this is all personal prefference.

From that video you have shown, I would recommend also turning down your smoothing to help the stick construction. And do the same thing i have been told alot. Practice poses.
Thats it for what I can say.. i suck so.. <_>

I think arch and stracked sum'd up what I wanted to say. But as a few extra tips I'd tell you to double frame from time to time, double-framing is a hard thing to master but is really useful when you want to slow movements down, for example when I animate walks and runnings I always doubleframe the first 3 frames of my movement to give it an anticipation, that way I don't have to draw the same stick 6 times and it looks even smoother.

And don't be afraid to try brush tool with mouse! I animated with mouse the first 2 years when I started and I have always used brush tool ;3

Study exceptional animations. See how people more advanced than you are do it, then try doing it yourself. Most importantly, don't worry about how "bad" something looks. Make sure to finish what you make and ask for cnc. If someone tells you, it was horrible, ask them how to improve. Someone tells you it was amazing, still, ask them how to improve. Good luck getting better!

Here's a tip, I'm not sure if it counts but: Don't force yourself to imitate other people's styles, let yours work out on its own. While it does seem cool to have C3WhiteRose's Fighting Game-esque aesthetic or DiPi's pseudo-Pivot single-framing, you don't have to painstakingly try to adjust yourself to it. Although if by coincidence your natural style did resemble, then that's fine.

before i start this i want to say to camila jeff drone and every other mod here that i about to be rude as fuck here.
ok lets start, EclairCat i was watching for you for a quite a while now, and to tell you honsetly like 80% of your time you waste here on forum spaming every thread to add you to a damn hitlist and when people do wanna fight you, you avoid them, you are extreamly lazy about animating and its about time to someone tells you, like you wanna get better and faster at animating, well let me tell you something here; that shit aint gonna learn by it self, take a look at me for a moment i animating now for a 11 months and i putting all my time and efford into practice just to be as half and probly not even half to be good like oxob, alfa, camilla or anyone else, BUT! i still trying and trying and i not giving up and i still practice as maximum by making collabs, RHG, joints or anything that will give me one of 2 things to force me animate witch is time and quallty that how i practice, but lets take a look at you now, what where you doing for the most of your day? was animating? or hanging out and spaming on stickpage and somewhere else?

I not saying that you should give up, but i am saying that you should deffenetly try more, i know there are a lot of stuff in the way school, job, or something else, but that is not reason to be lazy about animating in genneral

TL;DR If you stop being lazy and practice more eventuly you will get better and people will respect you for your animations.

before i go, be shure to contact me and i will help you and share my knownledge with you, be shure to send me P.M. with your skype name or any software we can speak over, people here are willing to help you, but you are the one who needs to be willing to learn.

Gonna fix gramatic errors when i come home.

Well i think you're right in some points. all the day i'm busy at school so i have only like 2 hours per day to do what i want. i'm mostly talking in forum or chat because i feel lonely where i am (i live in Morocco and i don't have any friends to go outside with, my only friend live in the campaign and i see him only 1 day per week ? but it will change when i will live in france...). i always think that i'm annoying people for always posting things in forum but i'm always looking for interesting things to do or to talk with other.
you are truly right about animating, i get motived to do an animation and after like 1 minute or animation done i feel mad because i see that my animation don't look smooth or fine like the other and i abandon my project. but after a few days i come back to the unfinished one and try to finish it. i do want to finish my animation for surprise you guys, for showing you my skills.

I'm always thinking about practicing but i always get interrupt on new ideas that i'm thinking for an animation. now i have like 10 projects do to in addition of all the episodes of my future series :')

anyway i will train more when i will get my high school diploma because i don't have much time to animate (i do always like 1 or 2 frames) but i do have time to talk on forum :/
thanks for all your tips guys!

One more tip. If your budget can handle it get a graphics tablet. Dont worry it doesnt have to be 100+. Stick to a cheap but good quality brand for example Turcom.
