So apparently according to niodlc, MysteryAssassin was increasing the lag which didn't allow him to unpause the game, causing him to wait 20+ minutes unable to do anything about it.

No way is lag going to let you deny an unpause.

I have played NIOLDC, his lag is terrible if I remember correctly... what ever happened to matching players based on ping... there is a whole crew of people who run ping in the 400-800 range.. with spikes to 2000... it is a total pain to play them and no fun... especially bad if they are premium and worse for ele...

Ele isn't directly tied to lag anymore. Most ele games I've played have run completely smooth on a windows xp which is quite amazing. Hell, I've even played ele using my laptop trackpad and still kicked ass with macro. Micro is a pain via laptop but I made it work.

I disagree

Loads of ele trees or loads of ele fires or loads of ele airs can still cause more than usual lag.

Yeah, trees and spam is still lag with elementals.

PUMU, as others have pointed out you are wrong. I know players who use all three empires... some, not all, lag very badly as Ele, some as chaos, and none as order.

not more than 3 trees, then it is quite smooth . More than that, BS lag.
So in my ele games I try to not use trees at all

And even the game is smooth, most of ele replays are laggy no matter you use trees or not.

Bombs can cause lag due to the death explosion, trees cause lag by scorpling count, airs can cause lag by all lightning spiking at the same time, and fires cause lag with the fire projectiles.

Aside from those very specific animations nothing else is really that lag causing.
I also don't find ele replays to be laggy if there are none of the above things.

Let's not strive off topic here, this ha actually happened to me once, where I couldn't unpause the game from the amount of lag the person was giving. So I believe this is true and the opponent here was using lag to insure his victory. As you can see the replay freezes for some 10+ minutes as he refuses to reduce the lag allowing an unpause so the game can finish up.

Also, in the replay, he was saying that if niodlc didn't surrender he would increase the lag.

So obviously he knew what he was doing to use lag to his advantage, switching the ping whenever he felt like it.

Sword archer meric is only a early Midgame macro vs ele. You should tech into higher units after or lose to ele players that know what they're doing erazer.

Alternate (I assume is a multi account of mormegil?) "ele lag" seems to be affecting y'all somehow when it doesn't affect me in the slightest in game. Replays I agree get really choppy.
Perhaps it's due to the facti never use more than 3 rooted trees.

Yes, both players went order which eliminates any excuses for lag since order gameplay is relatively smooth, at least for me. However, using lag to your advantage and switching pings wherever you see fit is now allowed, as far as I know.

The replay clearly shows he was using the lag to his advantage, he even said "I will make the lag greater if you don't surrender". He admitted to it that he was changing pings so nothing could be done until he surrendered.

How can these pings change you may ask. Simply open up a bunch of tabs, or start downloading some stuff, uploading some stuff to youtube, anything to slow down your pc or the internet for your pc. My guess is he did all 3 considering that the game was impossible to unpause.

I believe we have sufficient evidence as well as the fact that he admitted to it that he should be tempbanned or at least given a warning as this is not allowed and is unfair to the players who happen to be better than him, who have the potential to lose rating for unfair reasons.
