The kickflip looks more like a heelflip more than a kickflip just depends if he's skating goofy or regular.

The physics of the stickman were bad, sorry.
I have made one skate animation and know that you need only 5 stick to make kickflip, not like 9 or 10.
There is a stickpack in droidz.org that is much better and easier to use.

Lemme guess, you dont get the stickman do you? Cause I like it.
