So I want to upgrade my 32-bit computer to 64-bit. I have recently upgraded my ram from 1 GB to 4 GB so it's more than qualified to be upgraded.

One question.

Will it affect my current files installed and saved? Will it be deleted? If it does, I won't upgrade.

Thanks in advance.

Well it's not only the ram that need for upgrade it to 64 bit
you need to know if all your computers card (motherboard, Ram, Graphic card, etc...) support the 64 bit
idk if it's affect all your files. it's should be write before you do the upgrade if it will delete everything or no.

you speaking bunch of nonsence and things that does not makes any sence to him, here is the thing buddy files are saved on your harddrive (HHD) so if you are not removing for formating HHD you will be fine as far your files goes, but when you putting new componets to your hardware you need to unistall the old drivers of them (that does not go for ram that said) also putting 32 or 64 bit that is only software part of PC there is no 64bit for hardware like idiot EclairCat said, but it is true some hardware have some trubble ruing the 64bit os system due to being too old, i advise you to do search on intrenet or ask someone who is exprianced with pc in general i can only help you small bit over intrernet, if you have reddit or you maybe know what reddit is there is a subforum that will help you at the best with PC related stuff that will advise you what to do and what to buy in oder to your pc runs the best as it can TechSupport-Reddit , also they have irc witch they are online 24/7 ready to help people who have lesser understading to pc so you can feal free to ask them for advice (Just try be nice for a love of god, they dont like RUDE people). Have any other questions ask me i can maybe help you out just pm.

And please dont ever listen EclairCat that guy is not that smart or helpfull in anyway.

i got 2 infraction points for that comment and yea i should tell you that i sorry, but i wont, in my opinion you dont deserve it.

trying to help and helping does not go together, cuz when you try to help someone atleast you have some knowledge about it instead of speaking nonsence that does not help him.
